New to the forum & new I-miev

Well done getting the eJerry working. ...40kg total additional weight... I think part of the 6.5% was just the extra weight of the Ejerrycan it's self (Im going to make up some numbers now) lets say 2% of that was because it was just a bad run. I can give you some scientific answers to that kind of ...

Outlander PHEV-should I get one?

I presume you have no connection with Mitsubishi or its employees : ) No association, and I've only owned Mitsu's for <12 months. That aside, I'm interested as to the terrain in your area. Does your residential and usual travels area have flat terrain, the occasion hill, reasonably hilly or quite h...

Anyone replaced their front blade yet? I looked in SCA today and they only had a $38 one, seemed very steep. I just googled and they must have been out of stock of this one which is a bit cheaper at $28 SCA Ebay iMiEV wiper

The i-MiEV is close to $54k retail and has a 16kWh pack. in the USA all the 2012's are coming off lease and there selling for as low as $10K some with sub 15K miles on them why are we still paying so much for them here? So $10K USD = $13K AUD and 15K miles = 24K km. I paid $14K for an iMiEV which had done 20Kkm. Sounds like pretty much the same value as ...

I was trying to work out whether I could get an iMiev to my parents place (North Ryde to Maitland = 162km). The Morisset Chademo charger is exactly 100km from home. Sounds like you'd be a customer for this unusual solution (its not what you first think!) http://insideevs.com/mitsubishi-miev-range-e...

Is it possible to add cruise control to the iMiev? Unless its adaptive CC I'm not sure there is much point? The 1 hour "range" sort of limits the use of CC. Not sure of your situation, and if you're looking at a 2nd hand iMiEV then chances are the PHEV is not what you want and out of your budget. H...

How is the performance at 110km/hr in terms of hill climbing? I.e. coming out of the moony moony bridge and so on? I drove my iMiEV back via that route after purchase, however I decided to limit myself to 100km/h just to conserve battery. I have since done the trip at 110km/h with 4 people in the c...

iMiEV 2010 Clock - fix to always display the time!

Just tried it, and it doesn't solve the problem of the time not appearing until you "agree" to the GPS. At least it comes up straight away when you do. Ah yes, our kids usually click the PITA "agree" screen, its just getting the latest time up straight away that I wanted. I can see how you misinter...

iMiEV 2010 Clock - fix to always display the time!

If you have a 2010 iMiEV the clock (by default/bug) displays the time the car was last used until it gets a new GPS lock. I've found you can fix this in the settings by switching off the setting to update the time using the GPS. I guess you need to switch it back on again occasionally if the time di...

Concept car- Yebbujana R 571km range EV for US$40k

Wouldn't be many days that you drive 500km, flatten a 50kwh pack True, we find 100km/day in the iMiEV is fine in 6 months of use, however many tell us it won't work for them as they travel much further in a day. The problem with Tesla/Yebbujana etc is when you want to do Syd-Bris or Syd-Melb, 500km...

I know this isn't a Mitsu however can't seem to create a new category? Here is what I have read about this car (Japanese website), sounds ok for the price? There are a number of iMiEV and other EV owners that use the Jaycar device on a regular basis, and I've yet to hear a single report of any issues with either the Jaycar device or wiring etc.

Hi , Mitsubishi says you can get 51km out of it, why does it only charge to 40km? What's the furtherest km's you have driven on battery? I hopped in the PHEV yesterday and RR was showing 47km. I headed out on a 45km trip and tried to do it without the ICE starting, however it did briefly at 3 inter...
