I did look at undoing but I'd have to buy a tool. Its a star shape screw but only 3 ie one less than philips head(4).

Home Wall Chargers?

Looks like my Jaycar timer (MS6110, recommended by other owners) which I used to charge our iMiEV died last night after 1 year and 9 days on the job (Jaycar apparently has only a 3 month warranty, lol). I can still hear the relay click but the device attached does not get power. Any suggestions for ...

Just confirmed that ours (2010 iMiEV) has no SD card in it and works fine. Thanks Mike, I thought it was just a bit of BS to get my wife out of the service dept. The GPS worked fine up to about a couple of months ago when it lost all gps signal. To me its 90% chance of being a connector or cable, h...

Though when testing you app on your Imiev perhaps the app is giving the battery % Its not a %, I am getting an Ah value directly. Besides, the value from my App for my iMiEV matches the Mitsubishi battery report I received today so its correct (in so far as Mitsubishi is "correct"!). I'm sure we'll...

50ah nominal (LEV50 cells)from the factory but more than 48ah after a capacity test. As far as I have read, the PHEV uses LEV50N which just "has higher durability in a hot environment" than the LEV50 - lev50-vs-lev50n In this they state "14.5 kWh (80 cells)" whereas the PHEV has 12kWh in its 80 cel...

Interesting 36.8ah. Given a new Imiev has 48ah Well I've been told the 80 cell battery in the PHEV is 40Ah "nominal" and from the 10 or so I have tested with my App worldwide, none have been over 38.2Ah including a brand new 2016MY PHEV. That would make the iMiEV 40 x 88/80 or 44Ah, not 48Ah wouldn...

There isn't much we can do about it if the bms has predicted a suspect new Capacity but I it's handy to know Well I can confirm that my PHEV App can get the iMiEV Battery Capacity value as well! The radio/nav in our 2010 iMiEV has gone on the blink.... the Nav now no longer gets any satellites. The dealer agrees the radio is part of the car's 5 year warranty, however they say the GPS stopped working because we don't have an SDcard in it. I don't believe this as it clearly shows there is no...

Though I;m sure Nissan/ Mitsubishi have some temperature, load and other data that it collects and takes into account. To determine the new capacity. Well the PHEV (2nd generation of iMiEV tech) has battery capacity info in the BMU ECU (mine has since dropped to 35.7Ah from the 35.9Ah showing on th...

Using ex I-MIEV battery in home solar

How long do you think you can safely leave an iMiEV battery pack out of a car without charging the cells, especially if the charge state before removal is unknown? I'm thinking it might be a costly exercise to keep some LEV50 cells alive until such time as one is needed for a "cell transplant" if yo...

Faulty iMiEV battery but how do we obtain it?

The owner got his car back on Friday and the old battery was still at the service dept. I'm going to ring Mitsu on Monday to see if I can learn the fate of the old battery, and if its not headed to Japan, try grab it.

Faulty iMiEV battery but how do we obtain it?

Any battery packs replaced under warranty will go back to Japan for analysis..... That's a given... I read that in the brochures, however it sounded more like marketing BS to me, to counter the greenies "battery waste" argument? Here we have a failure rate of at around 1% (2/252 and that's just wha...

Faulty iMiEV battery but how do we obtain it?

An iMiEV battery is about to be replaced at Ryde Mitsubishi. The service manager insists that the old battery needs to go back to Mitsubishi for warranty claim, despite the replacement in WA leaving the old battery in the owners hands. I'm betting apart from sighting the battery, once it is out of t...

I just put a DMM on my 12v and it read 13.02V about 30 mins after being driven. The iMiEV had been driven about 12km earlier today and the traction batt was not charged last night.
No point in putting my 12v on charge?

Is your battery Mitsubishi factory or has it been replaced ? I gather the first few sold from Ryde had the original 12V aux and there were problems, so Ryde replaced the rest. I got one with a newer 12V aux. David's was a bit older but I think GregP's is older again. If iDavid's observations are co...

Maybe your 12V DC-DC is faulty. The iMiev should keep it fully charged. We get about 95-103 on our guess-o-meter. I don't know how the iMiEV schedules charging the aux (PHEV does it daily @2pm) but it shouldn't take much juice? I'm thinking your aux batt might be RS? If it doesn't hold its charge m...

The radio will have a 12 month warranty......not same as the car itself... I can't see anything in my iMiEV manuals about warranty, does anyone have an iMiEV warranty book as its not in my owners manual or service book? My PHEV also has a 5yr/100K warranty and that includes the radio. Only the 12v ...

I would say you would need a 2nd hand cell ... I'm not sure if they would just sell you a single new cell (again not the best idea to put it in with old cells. Has anyone tried sourcing a LEV-50 cell? I'm thinking it might be a good idea to at least know how to purchase one in Australia so we can do a cell swap at short notice (assuming the battery fault is a dead cell).

http://www.commutercars.com/au/buy-lease-rent.html Thanks for posting, hadn't seen or heard of the Tango. Makes our 2010 iMiEV's look cheap AND "visually appealing", compared to the even uglier Tango! Still, 0-100 in 3.x seconds is P85D territory, wow. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley32.gif
