Perth - E-bikes stolen!

most house insurance policy's only cover bikes up to $1000 then you have to separate bike insurance, (organisations like bicycle nsw/vic etc. can help you with this) street legal e-bikes would be no different to a $5 000 road bike to an insurance company.

i just go with cracking a window open and leaving the lunchbox inside the car. the window is only open enough for the cable so the plug won't fit out the window.

3 rules. Get permission. Get permission. Get permission. I assumed it's a picture of one of city of perth parking charge sites http://www.recargo.com/sites/7987 Which means there is a sign next to it saying it's ok. they are all 3 phase i think because the cars used in the EV trial had type2 mennek...

I'm going have to disagree and the only reason why most of them aren't secured is because until the EV came out, a portable device that sucks 10amps and for hours. it wasn't worth the cost in securing them.

Perhaps the power points need to be locked up I hate this argument.... it's like saying that you left your car unlocked so I within my rights to steal it. can take your Christmas lights off your lawn because you didn't lock them down ? edit: it this case yes the police officer had a chip on his sho...

it's a 3 phase 415V neutral earth 5 pin.

Contact brian over at the australian leaf owners forum and he'll make you a 3 phase to 15amp cable. you just pick one of the phases and use the earth and neutral.

the Japanese spec. has an DC/AC converter in it so there are 110V plugs in the boot. (if that feature stays in the Australian version i can charge my i-miev from my outlander)

If you need to go long distance just hire a car ? If you regularly go a longish distance, you can purchase and install a EVSE for less than a trailer would be to make. I personally don't enjoy driving an i-miev at 110km of the freeway without cruise control. so I still take the ICE for longer trips ...

I believe that a 15 Amp GPO (General Purpose Outlet)or domestic power socket is only available if you have three phase power and will only give you minimal gain (30% max) over your standard 10 Amp GPO. I rarely say this on the forum but this guy has no idea an you should ignore this post! the amoun...

I have one more question too. With power points - how beneficial is installing at 15V powerpoint?? I have a normal power point in my garage, and I was thinking that I would just use that as we have solar and I wanted to utilise that. If I installed a 15w off peak I am not sure that would use the so...

Free fast charging at dealers sounds great in theory but is it really a useful deployment of chargers? There are only 10 Level 3 chargers in the WHOLE of the country and 6 don't work or are about to be decommissioned. ANY fast chargers is a good thing and around me there is a Nissan dealer in every...

they also have a CHAdeMO adapter in development...

I have strong opinions of they should of never need all the adapters cables etc.. and tesla should of just used j1772, instead of creating there own "standard"

Personally I would love to buy some incandescent bulbs for my house. No CFL bulb has ever lasted longer than 2 years in my house. And then there's the mercury and phosphorescent coatings, the fact that no-one recycles them... I can handle an extra 25 cents in my power bill for the safety and simpli...
