Yes sorry your going to have to pay an extra 60 cents - $7 for the one with both WIFI and RF remote http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley1.gif https://www.itead.cc/sonoff-rf.html Perhaps you could make use of another unit they sell that has on board power consumption monitoring for $10. I haven't...

Again,       It makes no difference if you loose internet. Your not controlling it over the net you can control it over your local wifi. Any place you have a local wifi network connection (as in you can see your wireless router or repeater you can control it (you don't have to use Sonoffs online app...

No it's not like that. The only time you connect directly to it over wifi is the first time you set it up and give it your local wifi password. From then on its on your local network. So just click on app and switch on or off. Much quicker than walking 50m in the dark or rain to unlock the power roo...

Thanks Weber,              So at battery voltage Then Im looking at Model: IM160220004 in isolated mode (two resisters removed and external 5-24v power supply) Although it only lists it as 0-30v DC ... AC 90-230v . I would assume the 30v DC is taking into account the max rated load switching ability...

PIP-4048MS inverter

I mentioned a while back that I would like to have a way to remote switch my PIP inverter on/off just like the little rocker switch under the unit. The Main reason was to reduce idle consumption when the PIP is not in use as my PIP is just powering a workshop/shed. I thought about extending a wire s...

PIP-4048MS inverter

Don't know but you will get some rebate for it . A pip is only usefull if you have the battery behind it to get the job done and you need the pv behind that to make it all work. Adding 1 exta pip = 4000w extra pv (at what cost ) (say 330ah of lithium at what cost) not just $1000 for the pip . edit: ...

Heat your water with a heat pump HWS 1000w will give you 4000w of water heating. Yes I forget in QLD we are lucky it doesn't get cold so we don't need to run heaters at night. lots of air-conditioning in the day though. Yes perhaps having one pip dedicated to the most hungry appliance (say large air...

Yes that's why I calculated the 1.8kwh on 12hrs 3 pips actually consumes a shocking 3.6kwh every 24rs doing nothing! Standalone power always has some inefficacy's that you need to cover for. In your case with 30kwh consumption each day 15% of your energy is going towards powering 3 pips idle consump...

PIP-4048MS inverter

The other down side to 3 pips is 3x50w idle consumption roughly 12hrs at 150w .1.8kwh extra drain on the bank. Though it's a wast and it always bugs me wasting energy the reality is a big system can brush off that 1.8kwh with little effect .

In general the less number of cells to get the job done the better. I don't see any big issue with 1000ah of lithium on a pip over say 400ah that I am using now. Though one issue is the pip older version is 3000w pv charger. Let's just call the battery bank 1000ah x 53v 53kwh of storage. And let's j...

PIP-4048MS inverter

I have notices there has been a slight decrease in price of PIP inverters listed online through ebay. Particularly when you take into account the Au exchange rate at the moment vs what they are asking. Not to mention the increased specs of inbuilt SCC to 4000w. With the price of PV and product's lik...

PIP-4048MS inverter

I was talking about the battery charging metering eficiancy measured from the Solar charge controllers. As in take a measured 2.5kwh out from the bank (DC) then return 2.5kwh DC. (not DC kwh in from PV vs AC out from a inverter) That gets nasty even with the high efficacy of lithium (particular with...

Yes shallow cycling a big led acid bank gives terrible round trip efficiency.

From memory (need to check as I haven't checked it in a long time)After a lot of fiddling and trial and error I settled on something like 98...99% efficiency setting on my lithium bank.

Fuel efficient tip for driving the Outlander

Put a random driver in it and ask them to drive and I'm sure it will use 200whr km in EV mode. I just can not see how a much heaver and less aerodynamic 4wd with much wider tiers would have a listed whr/100km spec slightly less than There Imiev. One interesting experiment would be to have a Outlande...

"The official energy usage from memory is 134Wh/km, I guess that is on a level road and it does not specify at what speed either." Yes 134whr km when running as a hybrid over a 100km distance so your not including the whr's of petrol your burning. The actual whr km as a pure ev pr 100km (as in you w...

PIP-4048MS inverter

When you think about it. The 45w or so the PIP4048 consumes. Is only a issue from say 6pm - 6am, 12hrs 540whrs wasted as it's running from just the battery's. How expensive is an extra 540whrs roughly 10ah of battery capacity at 48v? Actually your savings would be less than that when you included th...

4 months without your car that's crazy! As for the one with the dead dashboard. Look at all the main loom plugs around that are...

3rd option is just not to take to them at all. The car has performed perfect for almost 5 - 7 years 2010 or 2012. Why fiddle with it.....
