Tesla HPWC adaptor >J1772

Tested my Tesla Destination Charger (HPWC) to J1772 adaptor this morning and it works fine. Imiev charges well.

This is true. Mine are typically in my backpack so I have to rummage around for them when I did have a AAA sized torch on my key ring. Unfortunately it broke like many things.

I have unscrewed the switch on the drivers door jamb and it is difficult to get access to the connecting wires as there is very little play.

I normally park and charge my I MiEV in the driveway which is poorly lit. Plugging in the cable can be difficult in the dark. If you put aside the issue of Superchargers which I understand can't be used on non Tesla vehicles, would it be possible to source a compatible Tesla Type 2 Mennekes inlet ? What other challenges would be faced to make a J1772 adaptor?
