Thanks Adverse Effects for the feedback, this is certainly something we are working on at the moment. Instead of using dreamweaver or any other program to write the code for the website for us, it has all been handwritten so there are a few things like the images that we still need to find better wa...

Solidworks Experience
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering if any of you use CAD programs like sketchup, autocad or Solidworks?
I've just acquired a student edition of Solidworks and am trying to wrap my head around it so a bit of help/advice would be appreciated.
Cheers,
James

Efluffler, if you can provide me with some desired specifications, such as range, top speed, weight and acceleration I would be happy to help you build a cheap solution.

Congratulations Chris and Katherine on the exciting news, hope you're ready for long and sleepless nights.
If there are any cheap, hands on jobs you'd like help with or I can do for you please let me know Chris, I want to see your bike running and after all your help it's the least I can do.

Hi Chris,
Thanks so much, I'm free pretty much anyday so whenever you're available
Those welds look pretty good to me, my self taught MIG welds at the beginning were pretty shocking.
Cheers,
James

Hi Chris and Faz, Thanks for the offers, I am just trying to weld some 1.6mm wall thickness SHS together for a small eV Challenge drivetrain and some 6mm plate on for the dropouts. I've never used Arc before so before MIG but if you gave me a quick lesson I'm sure I'd pick it up pretty quick Chris. ...

Hi all,
Is there anyone in Perth who would be happy to allow me to use their MIG welder for free or in exchange for a carton of beer etc?
Can't justify buying a welder myself but have around 20 minutes of welding to do.
Cheers,
James

Would you like to become a driver of the change you want to see then, rather than a critic of the change you don't see?

Hi Richo, I reply to your post not just as an individual but as a member of the eV Challenge committee. Firstly, not many people have been made aware but as the end of last year's eV Challenge the entire ex committee retired which not only left the event without a committee but also without insuranc...

Hi everyone, Uncertain as to whether many Perth AEVA members remember or not but the Perth eV Challenge is on this saturday from 9:30 am - 5 pm. It'd be great to see as many of you down there as possible showing off your cars (as a static display) and showing your support for what is hopefully a new...

Chris,
Why you use a ultracap. and dump all your regen into that and then have a boost that dumps the cap. straight back into the motor after the corner?

Ok, we have our electric bike from Newcastle. With different higher gearing it would be well suited to the track in the video above. Just wondering how hard it would be to pass scrut. and also for my 14yr old brother to be qualified to race?
