Importing electric bikes
eBay vendors seem to list these in at least 2 categories: + Cycling & + Scooters "Featured" items in Cycling carry surprisingly high price-tags, suggesting that they're paying "too much" for insurance, or just trying to "train" the near-virgin marketplace to pay heaps. Maybe it's to early to expect ...

Are we talking Public Liability, for your business? ...or the kind of bike insurance that a buyer of such a product might purchase? If it's the former (& you don't find anything else) I think there was a UK insurer, that marketed itself as a company ready to insure almost "anything" (maybe it was Ll...

More on viral-marketing via social-networking: I just noticed the image of a (to me) unknown musician beside a FREE offer to go download (via iTunes, Amazon or TPB) his latest album "17" (which I've not heard), with an option to BUY the same music, in another form. (Ever heard of George Barnett? No ...

AMPrentice: "A Blade Electron is a better choice but don't have the advertising or the unique look" Today, "viral marketing" is more cost-effective than "big bucks" advertising. So, the Rocky Mountain Institute is Amory Lovins' forward-looking think-tank. (I first heard physicist Lovins speaking about how to build zero-energy homes & offices, by applying Physics to architecture, even when it ignores "flimsy" building codes & standard practices. Gee, I wish you'd tell us details of price, shipping cost, & what customs does with it, as it enters (duty? GST? etc.), not to mention the vendor's details. Interesting... I hope the inventor hasn't sold his patent rights to cheaply.
As to the toxic waste his invention would collect, I'm sure more folks would agree to the construction of a secure holding facility for that kind of stuff, than would willingly accept radio active waste in their "back yard."

On the other hand, there are some new risks: 1. be sure you help everyone, who has to come near your EV stay safe from electrocution (you, your passengers, kids, first responders, inspectors, mechanics, etc.) 2. be sure heat (from batteries, for a change) won't cause a fire or burn someone, 3. be su...

Since there are -fewer- subsystems in an EV, I'd say: + as long as you're not trying to make all the bits (motor, batteries, etc.) yourself, an EV can be (& will become) -easier- to design & make than an carbon-emitter. Much of what makes converting an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) carbon-emitter into a 100% Electric Vehicle (and sticking to just -one- car) seem impractical to you - in part - is due to "cultural" reasons.
