I've entered my e-trike into a French design competition... time for public voting - which is done by going here (please) > http://pinterest.com/ebiketec/ebiketec-design-contest-public-voting/ ...and Liking the entry. They haven't made voting the easiest thing it seems, unfortunately. 4 people in my...

Nice one Mech. Would love to give it a ride when your done... may be able to help a little as you progress. Check out the Endless Sphere forums - a lot more information and members to offer advice and get you going on the right track. Things get pretty slow around here (...cue crickets chirping). Si...

Now have all engineering and stat. approvals for my trike.... it's got a number plate! This is a major milestone for me. The Australian Design Rules are not a walk in the park, and there is no category for Tilting Vehicles... and they defenitely have some work to do on the Electric Vehicle side of t...

A MUST WATCH VIDEO - Tilting Trike Action
Thanks Thalas. ...I think I got caught up in making it work, and the styling was very much dictated by that - in the end I had to launch into building this because I receieved a small 'arts' grant and there was a deadline to start and end the project. I wish it was pretty. The next one will be styli...

A MUST WATCH VIDEO - Tilting Trike Action
Hey forum nuts... I must state - to start with, that this is a 'proof of concept' - one off build. My aim is to be able to have a vehicle manufactured (a tough task indeed)... but it would not look like the proof of concept. Proffesional motorcycle design engineers and stylists will take the concept...

...if your going to road register - traction wiring needs to be orange, so you'll need to wrap it in orange electrical tape (can be hard to get), or get some flexible orange split conduit (from Panduit)... with the only supplier in Australia being Anixter in Melbourne - but will be shipped from USA ...

Hey RJWS... you may have troubles road registering those vehicles... Check out the ADR rules here - http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/motor/standards/index.aspx The category yours fits in would be LEM1. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/pdf/NCOP15A_LEM_Trike_Che...

wanted - Used Thundersky 40AH
...mixing old and new cells is a problem for the fact that the cells take a few cycles to be 'broken-in'.... The problem I have found is with the charging - the new cells reach a higher voltage more quickly than the rest - and the BMS will stop the charge, leaving the rest of the pack underdone.

wanted - Used Thundersky 40AH
If anyone has some used (100 - 200cycle) 40AH thunderskys I would be interested in buying up to 6 cells... 1 to replace a dodgy cell in my pack, 4 to bring the voltage up to 60V, and 1 as a spare.
Cheers..
Simon.

what about simplifying.... a simple hardtail frame, with good seat suspension??.... and move half of the battery pack forward if possible.
