ecu is commonly kept in the kick panel next to the passenger's feet.
Where in Melbourne are you? I would love to get involved if I can.(I am in Lilydale)
Troy
I still hope to convert my own car one day, it would be good to see just what i would be getting into.

Gee HeadsUp, full of encouragement aren't you!!
You forgot to mention that we are all going to die.......eventually.
I'm sure most of this has been taken into considderation as a calculated risk. Keep up the good work Lauchlan.

My wife's small seven seater wagon blew a transmission the other day, and with the I.C.E. not 100% healthy it has become a candidate for an EV conversion. I don't have the time/ money/ knowledge for this corrective surgery, so it's sell and replace time. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley13.gi...

It's a shame you are on the wrong side of the ditch over there in N.Z. All of a sudden I could have offered you a cheap Mitsubishi Nimbus (Chariot) with a blown transmission. I'll Put a post in the classifieds section. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley19.gif Edit. Unless anyone can offer a ch...

Looks like a flying start Woody, Having everything overlaped does show that the controller seems to make the biggest difference.(if I read the key right) Splitting the graphs, as you say, would make things a bit clearer, especialy if the Key was not as abbreviated. You could also label each graph so...

Those metric mind EVisions would do just nicely , I reackon they would shine through a thin bit of translucent perspex quite well considering the glare they put off in the photo.

Would it be worth using the pump from the A/C unit too? assuing you have high enough voltage.
Edit: I don't know the mathematics, but would't using a dc/dc converter, motor, pulley and pump be less efficiant than an all in one 110v or 240v unit.

So in theory then we should be able to salvage some solenoid valves out of an old reverse cycle unit (or order some new if you can find 12V) and wire/plumb them up to do the same job in an automotive system, right?

Being a person that learns from visuals and application rather than comprehending Numbers and theory, (I know i am not alone here) I'll ask if anyone knows of where I can find, or if someone is able to draft a table or graph (or three) that would show the effect of different voltages and ampages on ...

Voltage will probably be ~400V AC in australia which will need 600V DC batteries. --Gulp, that's 50 x 12 volt lead acid or 200 x 3v Thundrerskys...at least you would not have to use the 90amp hour ones. 3 phase 240V AC is US/Japan spec, but more weight per kW. --Would this be greater than the weight...

You have probably done this already, but I'll suggest it anyhow. Have you changed the oil in the Gearbox? Did you change to a lighter or heavier oil??
P.S. I was not well today so I didn't make it up your way, sorry for not calling.

Not being an academic, I'm liking the "strip the ICE system out, prepare the body, and find a Guru to help design and install the new powerplant" option. Any willing Gurus out there in Melbourne?
Edit; I don't expect charity here either.
