Re: Kona EV Brake recall!!
I got it too, another one Im not bothering with. If they want to do things to my car, they can come to me. I got a registered post letter from Hyundai about the Battery fire issue, just so they could make sure I know about it, but there is still no way I'm driving 3 hours to get a 15 minute update d...
Re: BlueLink
The only thing the app is good for is setting your car's internal temp prior to returning to it after parking in the sun. Monitoring the charging level - you might think it's a good idea, but really, you wont bother. You know how long it takes to charge up, and you have better things to do on a road...

Re: Hyundai Maps Self updater
On our 10.25 screen we can now only have 2 panels displayed, not 3. We liked having maps/EV status/media on three panels, but now can only have two functions displayed simultaneously. The radio screen is now a clunky looking mock valve display and we now have "sounds of nature" to soothe us in traf...

Re: Hyundai will recall Kona EV models over faulty battery cells
The dealership in Hobart just called me to book it in for the software update. As I live on the north west coast of Tas, I told him, they need to send someone to me to do it, because I'm not doing a 600km round trip for a 5 minute software update. Hyundai should have made the car updatable over the ...

I may be weird, but if I had the front of my car damaged that much, I'd get it fixed right away.

Re: PERMANTENTLY TURN OFF Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) System
I wish the Kona had LFA... I wonder why it doesn't when it does in the US and EU, AND the Ioniq here in Aus does. Anyone know why?

Re: Hyundai will recall Kona EV models over faulty battery cells
Yeah, I got this email today too.
I'm not going to do it. Especially as I would have to drive 300km to the dealer. They can come to me, at my house if they want to do it.

Road trip - Tas to Bris
Hey all, We are planning on taking the Kona from Tassie to Brisbane in January. I have looked at ABRP and looked up charging stations on the way and made a rough plan for stops etc. We will be stopping overnight in Canberra, and again in Port Macquarie. I'm new to the EV, have never used a public ch...

Re: Why we bought the 2020 Ioniq
I mean a quiet, powerful, silent car with the same level of equipment (even Tesla don't have cooled seats). True, although coming from a Santa Fe Highlander, I do kind of miss the powered tailgate and memory seat/mirrors. Wow, 40k km a year - yeah, you will be saving money after 4 years. I won't, (...

Re: Why we bought the 2020 Ioniq
Cool. I bought the Kona highlander last month. What sold it for me was the range and the look of the front. All the cool tech helped too of course.
Didn't buy it to save money (because you don't), but I wont miss having top stop at servos!!
