Re: PIP5048 Serial Communication for Parallel Setup

Thank you coulomb. This workaround is okay. But on long term I will add a DC durrent measurement to calculate the power properly based on a fine measured current and the given PV voltage. Sometimes I do not understand the Voltronic guys, Every value is inside existing and we are talking only about s...

PIP5048 Serial Communication for Parallel Setup

Hey Guys, I have 3 PIP5048-MS in 3 phase mode here. Every Inverter has a 3.3kWp Solar Array. Everything is running fine except the communication to my PC. I have connected one of the inverters to my PC via USB. If I start Watchpower (Version V1.14SP7) get all Inverters shown. (see screenshot attache...

Re: 12-cell CAN-based BMS modules

Hi all, Time to reveal the new BMS project I've been working on! Developed in part to fill the requirements of one of my clients, but intended for general EV use as well. (I'll be building a set for my RX7 in the near future.) In brief it's based around the LTC6802 BMS chip for cell monitoring and ...

Re: Voltronic Power Axpert MAX 7.2k Details

Firmware found on the internet ;) : https://mega.nz/file/sFMXBCjS#aurxi7YDrssifgeRlyEASRHdUig7CAn-_6nlumyfrh0 I can confirm that this appears to be a genuine DSP firmware for Axpert Max, version 45.06. This is moderately old now, so of little interest. There is a folder for updating the removable d...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters

was bidirectional. To sort out what really happens with a low battery voltage, Weber kindly reconfigured his battery from 16S of LFP (nominally 51.2 V) to 13S (nominally 41.6 V).His 64 V model inverter claimed it was generating 230 Vac on the LC Display. With the battery voltage at 44.4 V, the bus ...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters

I think the biggest hassle would be that the firmware will treat the battery as "weak" (with several implications, including a low battery warning and switching to bypass mode if possible) when the battery voltage drops to below 42.0 V (2.0 V above the low DC cutoff voltage, setting 29). It won't b...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters

Hey coulomb, I work for a company in the field of Li-Ion battery technology. We have tons of Li-Ion-Batteries (NMC and NCA, so 3,7V per cell). we have VW E-Golf Batteries, VW Passat GTE, VW E-Up, BMW i3 and all other manufacturer batteries. A very typical batterie nominal voltage is 44,4V. Upper lim...
