Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
Mr. coulomb I have a patched firmware, the equalization disconected the load (2.4kw) from the battery (54v) and conected it to the grid at 12:50 (lot of sun and surplus energy charging). Voltage compensation is at minimum and still reads 0.1v high from real value when loaded. Works perfectly with eq...

Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
[ Edit Coulomb: Arrgh! I did it again! Edited instead of quoted. Sigh. So this is effectively a post by me, quoting CrAzY_DrIveR .] So you are telling me that the inverter will ignore all the loads, turn on the grid and use all pv power just to equalise the battery? No, but unpatched firmware, as we...

Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
Hi, i've been using my 5048ms for 20 days. Working perfectly until now, it was charging the battery and running 2400w output at the same time. switchJPG.JPG At 12:52 it turns on the grid and keeps charging the battery at 58A. I switch off the grid because my battery can't take all that energy and it...

yes i have, also in the code there is inverter0 so maybe you can monitor all 3 with 1 espHave you read somewhere there about the support of multiple PIP's? I have 3 pcs running in a three phase configuration.

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
In the Monitoring software section there is no mention of the Home assistant and Esphome combo to monitor the solar system. It's not easy but if i can do it anyone can  First links: https://www.home-assistant.io/ #installed on my pi3 https://github.com/syssi/esphome-pipsolar #more details here:...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
hi guys, a little question.
If i connect my 130v electric car battery to the 145v pv input of my 5048ms will it explode or will just gently use the power that the inverter needs

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
There is also the issue of clipping of the output, and the potential damage this could cause to motors and transformers. In a 64V model, clipping starts at above 48.0V, so at 35V (if the inverter could even operate), clipping would be dangerously severe. See this post for details, as well as Webber...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
hi, is it possible so set the low voltage to 35v? My batteries are nicd they go from 5 to 8.15v at full charge and then balance at 5A for 3 hrs. If i use 7s i would need 35v cutoff and full charge would be ok. If i use 8s cutoff is ok at 40v but can only get 8v at full charge for the 64v model. (i f...

I don't have a battery yet and 27.3v from my psu is no good to power the beast so i used my 20y old nicd from my car.
Updated to 72.20e thank you guys for all the wonderful work you did.

So 80A only for the charger? Solar imput 18A sounds so small  in the manual recomended pv Breaker 60A and When selecting proper PV modules, please be sure to consider below parameters: 1. Open circuit Voltage (Voc) of PV modules not exceeds max. PV array open circuit voltage of inverter. 2. O...

Re: PIP-4048MS and PIP-5048MS inverters
There is so much bad and good feedback about these units but this community is so smart and helpful that it makes you think twice about the purchase.
Any feedback on units coming out this year? I am interested in the 5048MG that is max 450v PV so no firmware from you guys
