This guys another video shows the SOL setting in action, this time he uses a clamp meter. I think he shows that in SOL mode, the AC input of the inverter drops vs in bypass mode. Anyone here knows what he is saying.
But then again its a Inverex, not a axpert from voltronics.

Here is the manual of GE/VMII model with high voltage MPPT vs a regular low voltage MPPT inverter, notice on the high voltage model the Bypass display is gone when its blending. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/download/file.php?id=1926 You can watch this video sound off, unless you undestand them but the ...

Re: PIP inverter repairs and hardware modifications
For those who have tried to change the fan and ended with 01 error or for those who want to alter the fan (not the original one) speed accordingly with the original fan speed variation (run cooler in hot environment) I have a solution, its a hardware/software one but dirt cheap. If are interested p...

What about LTO (titanate) battery, they claim some super high charge/discharge cycles. Why is no one installing them, I get that its costs more then any other lithium battery. Or is their another reason.

I am no expert here but from what I read, the total output of string is limited by the panel with the lowest current, so in your case it would be the panel with 6.7amp.

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
Hello, my GK series inverter operates between 35 and 50C and I am wondering if this affect the performance of the inverter? i.e does the harvest reduce as the temperature increases? Its normal temperature, it doesn't effect the solar harvest, not sure if these inverters derate based on temperature....

If you mean the user manual temperature specs, thats is the ambient temperature upto which it operates.

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
Ah. I had assumed that a 3-wire fan doesn't listen to the PWM signal at all. Hell, fan A doesn't even have a wire on the PWM signal (pin 4). So you're saying that at least fan B (which does have a wire on pin 4, presumably the PWM signal), does have a speed that corresponds to the PWM value in the ...

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
coulomb So for VMII with DWPH fans, the PWM "030" speed is 3240~3300 rpm keeps varying in that range, according to laser tachometer. Once the temperature of HHH reached about 58°C to 60°C the PWM was high. I swear I saw a tachometer reading in 5xxx rpm on left AC side FAN A. (Temperature rise court...

Re: Voltronic InfiniSolar Inverters
Looks like the Mpp solar is no longer selling hybrid models with low mppt voltage, now their new version V2 hybrid uses 450v mppt input and works without batteries.
I guess they are shiting their hybrid line up to hight voltage mppt versions.

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
coulomb So Voltronics just rate the max voltages of battery and SCC based on the capacitor voltages value, I saw a 500v capacitor in SCC board and the inverter specs says max 500v mppt, same for the battery 63v max in spec and it has a capacitor rated at 63v. Here is the data sheet for this capacit...

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
The PWM pin is the fourth pin; your fans aren't PWMing at all. They are either full on or full off. When you see fan A decreasing in speed, I think it has to be because it's powering down, or being pulsed off for 60 or 180 milliseconds (3 or 9 ticks at 50 Hz). This pulsing is by turning off the 12 ...

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
It looks like fan B (I assume it's the right hand one) kicks in when the battery temperature reaches 40°C, off when it falls to 35°C (both with a minimum time requirement). Your GGG, HHH and III temperatures would be inverter, battery, and transformer respectively. So that makes sense. It seems tha...

Re: Idle and Load consumption - PIP 3024GK
I'm very hazy about this. My theory is that when in line (bypass) mode, some of the power from the PV that would normally go via the 400 V bus to the battery via the bidirectional DC-DC converter can get pushed into the inverter, which is synchronised to the AC-in, and supplies some of the load pow...

Re: Idle and Load consumption - PIP 3024GK
Is this 80 W from the AC-in? I hope so, otherwise, the battery isn't being floated at all. With the battery disconnected, surely that 30 W must come from AC-in. Yes and yes they are from AC in. It seems to take roughly 35 W just to run the inverter. In the VM-III, I assume that it's the same as wit...

Re: PIP-5048GE, PIP-5048GK and PIP-5048MG inverters (with unsafe SCC)
But from cold when both fans are off, it takes Q1 (GGG) to hit 41C to switch ON the ac side fan, and it switches off I when (GGG) temperature is 34c. From reading the firmware, it looks like in this model, heatsinks are considered too hot at 40°C and this returns to normal at 35°C. Do you know when...

Re: Idle and Load consumption - PIP 3024GK
For the VMII-5000 the idle power is around 48w in battery mode (power drawn from batteries), but in bypass mode it consumes 80watt with the with batteries connected, even when its in float charge for several hours. After you turn off the inverter and turn off the battery input, and you switch On the...

Issue is the fans speed is high and always On in Bypass mode or in utilty stand by mode, no solar connected. So I took a couple of pieces of paper and blocked t...

@coulomb
You are right for the Q3 command, it did send out an echo and I checked what I copied to notepad from realterm and it was there.
