Re: Capped price service

I think this shows a problem with the Renault Dealer structure. The initial Sydney dealer that I visited in March last year (out towards airport from CBD) was absolutely hopeless so I'm not surprised the rights to sell Zoe ZE and Kangoo ZE was taken away from them. But, I had a not so good service e...

Re: Capped price service

Dave - I'm away at the moment - if I dig the thing up I will email it to you.

Why don't you PM me to remind me - I'm not here all that often.

regards,
Tom

Re: Capped price service

See this: https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=5920

It was $241.00

If you visit the dealer they can print one out for you.

Not sure where it is on the web.

Re: Charging e-mail From Renault Australia

Hi All, I have done some sluthing. In Europe the Zoe comes with the same cable we get here and a Renault branded Schuko (2 pin continental European plug) "Flexi-charger" which enables the car to charge at a normal home powerpoint. So Renault Australia are simply panicing because one Zoe had a failur...

Re: Charging e-mail From Renault Australia

If anyone looks at the Renault website it contradicts itself

One part says min 7.6kw Charging and other part 3.2kw.

And what nonsense if I bought the Renault adaptor from Europe (10A single phase) and then just used adaptor for Australian plug end. They couldn’t blame that surely!

Re: Charging e-mail From Renault Australia

I just used that as a technical reason. As others have said: Renault needs to give a technical reason to makes this assertion credible. Teslas charge without problem at 10A single phase 240V Zoe's in UK and Europe charge without a problem at 10A single phase 220/240V Why in Australia will this cause...

Re: My experiences with the Zoe

Thank you for this trip report. I have driven Bendigo to both Geelong and Torquay and charged OK on arrival at destination. My favourite thing to charge from is a 32A 3 phase power point and use my portable charger - this is the quickest charging I've come across. I've also driven to Melbourne and c...

Re: Zoe - annoyances and solutions

I always leave the key inside when Zoe is charging.

The key in her seems to keep her more awake.

She seems to take the charge start faster and will not stop charging if key in her.

Obviously it's a security risk but I'm hoping that most people would steal her!

Re: Charging e-mail From Renault Australia

Yes - I was really annoyed with the email. I would prefer a technical response like - if you charge under 10A single phase there isn't enough power for the batteries to be cool while charging and this might damage them. If this was the answer you would expect the car to not take the power - after al...

Re: New Tyres

I’m a fairly normal driver but I do love burning off big cars at lights - that is a straight pick up and wheels don’t spin or anything like that. Quick question: given my numbers are still out should I take back to bob Jane t mart? I’m Sure they wouldn’t mind correcting more. Any thoughts on Pressur...

I think that it just takes a while - I left my Zoe for what seems like a good 30 minutes but it may have been more.

Glad it ended well for you.

Re: First Zoe Service!

I was in Sydney last year (March 2018 - Mardi Gras weekend) and went to visit Sydney City Renault. I’d already ordered my Zoe in Melbourne at Barry Bourke Renault but given I was there thought I’d pop in. I did not reveal that I was even from Victoria let alone that I’d already ordered a Zoe - I act...

New Tyres

Having 2 new tyres fitted today and all wheels balanced and aligned. Hopefully I get more than 10000 kms out then now. I’ve owned the Zoe since March 2018. When I bought the car tyres were 195 each when I asked at my local bjane t mart. They are now 235 each. Will report back after they are fitted.

Re: 1,000kms in 5 days

Indeed - do you keep tyres at 36psi? I’m taking car to bob Jane next week. To. Talk about the uneven wearing. When I got car he said he could get the exact same tyre in 24-48 hours. Also - how are you checking that the charging station you plan to use will be suitable? I carry this in the car (with ...

Re: Cannot connect to live services

So I did that (the above) - I did mention it in my service post to avoid what you’ve described. It’s a bit fiddly - you post that link into a computer. Then download. Then I think unzip. Then put whole folder onto a USB stick. Then take stick to Zoe. Then start Zoe. Then stick USB stick into the car...

So glad you got out of that alive. Whilst Zoe will easily do 110km I’ve found kw consumption markedly less at high 90s or even 100 exactly.

Re: First Zoe Service!

I live in Bendigo so a long way from the EV service dealer (Essendon / Moonee Ponds) so I will follow service schedule.

Local Renault dealer in Bendigo not interested in EVs - interestingly local dealer is colocated with Bendigo Mitsubishi.
