The boxes were wrapped in industrial gladwrap for going in. I could check the humidity but normal fridges are pretty dry.

Battery cells LG E63 x 100 (Sold)
100 x LG E63 cells They were purchased in July 2019 (as part of the group buy https://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5909&hilit=e63) by my work for a project that has never eventuated. Since October 2019 they have been in refrigerated storage (approx 4C) so ageing should have been minimised...

Was just wondering which part does the coulomb counting and the GOM calculations? I would guess it is the VCU not the BMS master?

Re: Vectrix acceleration and throttle problem.
It been a long time since I started this thread but in the last month I finally fixed the problem with the Vectrix. I bit the bullet and changed the motor to my spare. Lucky I got it when I got the bike. Anyway it doesn't happen now. So it was a problem with the encoder. I did check it as described ...

Re: Aftermarket iMiEV battery upgrade project
I have had the tortoise a couple of times. First time I was able to drive at least a kilometer in tortoise mode before reaching a charger. The second it went to 0 range then tortoise then stopped in about 100m. That was on hill. Just other day it went to 0 range about 1 km from home with my wife dri...

Re: Aftermarket iMiEV battery upgrade project
There is another guy in brisbane, Danie Rykiert, that has put a second 150AH pack in the back of his Minicab. Not sure if he is an AEVA member. Anyway he has it spliced into the wires to DC wires to the motor controller. He has reported seeing over 200km on the GOM and fast charging of 47kW. This ex...

i3 in wide bay
Does anyone know of an i3 in the wide bay area? My boss expressed interest today, he is a dedicated BMW owner. I thought if there was one in the area it would be good to see it in reallife and talk to an actual owner. As opposed to carsalesman rot.

Ok so welding of the terminals makes it difficult and the freight.
What about the Liyuan cells? Aren't we looking at about $11000 for them plus freight?
I will ask at work about how much it would be on their account.

There is some motors that are used on paragliders, they might be the go. Another options is multiples of RC motors. Any idea what power the solo engines are rated for?
Your biggest issue is going to be battery weight, still its possible.

You could check out what the Open Inverter guys (www.openinverter.org) are doing with the buck/boost converters out of the various toyota hybrid models. I'm not sure but there might be some models where is separate to the inverter.

Thanks for the link to Trev. Re: Motor controller to run a Vectrix motor.
No it won't be on a vectrix. Will do some reading about field orientated control. So it is mostly only used on industrial vfd's? Brief first looks suggests that field orientated control is more efficient, especially at high rpm. Do your standard BLDC or permanent magnet controls just accept that for...

Ohhh nasty. Ok so the motor itself is capable of 125km/h. Thats good to know. Thanks. There are hacked versions that can go to 125kmh, but I bricked an mc when I tried to install it. Then in the process of swapping out the mc I blew up the charger. That day really sucked

Motor controller to run a Vectrix motor.
Hi All, I have a spare vectrix motor here and I have been thinking about putting it to use in a kind of custom motorbike project. Having read about Antiscabs 100 000kms and having 4 motor controller failures, I think it would be better to run a different motor controller. Makes me wonder how long I'...

Well don't trade it in. Sell it privately, at $8000 it would sell quickly, I reckon.
I would be keen on trying the 93 AH one day, if I had some idea if the car would cope.
