Re: Minicab miev revisions

Range guestimator on dash is around 92km on full charge. Today we completed a 32km run with two thirds of the battery gauge still lit up. 2 passengers + ~50kg in the back. So it's looking OK so far. So it has about the same range now as an aged 16kWh pack by the looks of it. Bodes well for you bein...

Re: Notes on my commute.

The original bulb was only 35W?! So maybe a good quality led bulb would do the job, if you can get them in 35W.
The cycle analyst on mine shows about 70W usage when bike is turned on.

I have seen some of ones with the 10.5kWh lithium titanate battery in the japanese auctions. Maybe that is the difference between U67v and U68v.?

Re: Notes on my commute.

I had a look at mine couldn't find a brand but I took some photos. I think that because it different bms and charger, it also needed a power supply to run the light. Not sure but there is no reason it wouldn't run off the standard wiring. Thats what they do in cars....

Re: Aussie electric vehicle sales triple in 2019

I noticed the same with the Jaguar F Paces in rockhampton. Wondered what the reason was. One I did find is that the F Pace is half the price of the I Pace. $59k vs $120k+. Similar story with the Kona , $23k vs $60+ made worse but hyundai only offering the electric in high trim levels. Annoys the hel...

My Vectrix has a HID head light. Its great. As good as car lights. Previous owner of the bike fitted.
Its the sort that has the cover flips up for high beam.

I wondered if you could use something like the carbon based paint used in this video to paint resistance heaters on to the cells.

Re: Vectrix acceleration and throttle problem.

So there is something weird going on. The acceleration problem happened again and this time I noticed it made noise when trying to accelerate similar to when I tried to spin the motor with out the encoder plugged in. There was no acceleration or regen. And it didn't draw any amps either. I rolled to...

Re: Vectrix acceleration and throttle problem.

So I tried all those things. Held the combination until the spanner light went out. Throttle calibration was at 40 so I tweaked it up to 45. Also decided to have a look at the encoder on the motor to make sure nothing had come loose, it had played up couple of times after particularly rough sections...

Vectrix acceleration and throttle problem.

My Vectrix has a problem and I am not sure where I should start looking. Hoping someone can give me some pointers. So what is happening is sometimes it will fail to accelerate. I can get to maybe 50km/h. At the same time the low voltage light associated with the bms flashes or rather flickers in tim...

I was testing the range of mine. Ran out 1km from home. They are heavy things to push.
A kind motorcyclist stopped to see if he could give me some petrol....

I asking because if that bit is still good it could be useful for me. ;)

Quick update. Have stripped the moke down for rust repairs. In the mean time working out the details of the motor and batteries. The part that I am mulling over at the moment is the gearbox. Whether to to with trying to mate the motor up to the moke box and be able to use standard cv shafts or go wi...

Amita Tech batteries.

Hello, Just wondered if anyone has any experience with Amita Tech cells. http://amitatech.com/products_list.php?c=1 Their 44Ah cell seems to have good specs. I haven't delved any deeper than that. I was looking at the Vectrix site and I see they are using them in the packs they sell for the VX-1. Da...
