Re: i-MiEV not charging, high voltage warning light and battery

Model 3 configurator opening this week. (monday 6th may)
with the UK configurator now open, and Elon stating that the FSD price rise will happen on May 10th, but not before all configurators are open, then that suggests that the week starting May 6th will be order time. the FSD price rise has already happened on all public orders that are on open configur...

Re: Outlander PHEV Aspire question
yes, you can set the car to pre heat, or cool, when its not plugged in, the car will give you a warning, saying that it might stop if the battery power is not sufficient. i set mine to pre cool every afternoon about 20 mins before i get off work, and have about 5km of range left when i arrive at wor...

Re: The full Hyundai Ioniq range headed down under
Just got back from a Ioniq test drive in western Sydney, great looking car, and 5 sold already today, apparently no interest in the PHEV of hybrid versions, all interest is in the electric. first batch will be delivered in selected trim and colours, so no choice of anything really if you want one of...

Re: i-MiEV not charging, high voltage warning light and battery
And for the good news, it looks like ours is fixed, woot! So, what did we do. Replaced the two caps with new through the hole caps, however these were soldered to the pins with the two pins that were soldered onto the upriser board used for each leg of the caps (i.e. each leg had the two pins). It w...

Re: i-MiEV not charging, high voltage warning light and battery
i finally found that thread last night, i am up to page 5 so far, very very interesting, thank you for the info of the EV ECU, for some reason i have never heard of it, well, i guess it was not a factor in the failure so never looked for it, or come across it on my research until now.

Re: i-MiEV not charging, high voltage warning light and battery
im not sure, i have not heard of an EV ECU yet, thats not to say they dont have one, but mitsubishi replaced our battery ECU, and told us that the DC converter, Battery ECU and Motor controller were all VIN coded. weather that is actually true or not, i cant be sure, as it did come from a service ce...

Re: i-MiEV not charging, high voltage warning light and battery
we were charged $150 for the diagnosis, but a WARNING , we were told it was the Battery-ECU, (could also be the EV-ECU) . and it wasn't, and we were charged $1200 for the ECU change that did nothing, they would not give us the car back until we paid. so, we have an old, working Battery ECU here gath...

Re: Charging using SETEC portable Chademo
thanks for the links, yes, it is definitely the DC dc converter that has failed, we have pulled it apart and can see the exploded capacitor. we have a thread on it in this forum, http://forums.aeva.asn.au/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=5561 there seams to be a few different failure modes, and we have a fix pl...

Charging using SETEC portable Chademo
as you might or might not know, my i-miev DC to Dc converter has failed, so sadly, can no longer charge from AC as usual, my problem is, the car is 40km from where it needs to be, dont worry, there is no rush at the moment to move it, anyway, my question is, can it still be charged Via DC Chademo wi...

i was thinking to buy some cells to keep as spares in case my pack looses a cell or 2, its still in very good condition for its age, but just want some spares, and the thought of a jerry can setup has crossed my mind a few times, but havnt really decided what would be the best way to go in that rega...
