Noosa EV Expo, Sat 22nd June 2019
This is the second expo, and I'll be there with my Kona and possibly my Leaf. I was so impressed last year with the really interesting range of electric vehicles, not just cars, but also bikes, boats, motorbikes etc. A free event, and a great day out for those who want to learn more about EVs or cat...

The new battery would only be paid for by Nissan if it is within its five-year warranty, otherwise it is $9000 + labour.

Re: Hyundai Australia Kona EV info
Hi Reecho, A question about colour, as I have a deposit on the Ceramic Blue. We stopped by Hyundai yesterday to see the colour in real life, and it is much greener than it looks online. You mentioned a silver option in your thorough description, and "Never" has posted pics that appear to h...

EV display, seeking cars, Sunshine Coast June 2nd
Hi, as a Nissan Leaf owner, I've been organising an EV display for the last four years at the WED (World Environment Day) Festival at Maroochydore. I usually have between four and seven vehicles. I'm on the lookout for owners who would be happy to display their car and talk to the very interested pu...

guidelines for public EV charging
Hi, I've been contacted by a large shopping centre that is interested in installing some EV chargers when they renovate. They saw the EV display that I organised at the WED Festival at Maroochydore in June. I'm thinking that I have seen some guidelines somewhere for businesses considering installing...

PHEVS in Oz, future EVs
Hi, I'm putting together an EV display for the WED Festival at Maroochydore on June 4th, and updating some signs. I'm thinking that there are some PHEVS available in Australia that I should list, other than the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Can anyone suggest what models are available to buy here? My B...

Sunshine Coast EV display, June 4th, cars?
Hi, Wolfgang (on this forum) is bringing his ZBee. Here is an interview from a Brisbane event with Wolfgang and the ZBee. Looks like a really versatile vehicle, aimed at fleet use more than individuals. https://empowerrepower.com/2017/04/12/zbee-ev-coming-to-sunshine-coast/ Edit: Now link works...

Sunshine Coast EV display, June 4th, cars?
Hi, I'm organising, for the third time, an ev display for the WED Festival on Sunday June 4th. We have a ZBee coming, which will be a first, very exciting. I'd love to get a Model X and a BMW i3, and wondered whether anyone has one who lives on the Sunshine Coast or in North Brisbane? The display is...

fast charger for Maroochydore
I've heard after some inquiries that there will be a fast charger installed in Maroochydore towards the middle of the year. It is at this building: http://www.kon-tiki.com.au/ which is near Sunshine Plaza at 55 Plaza Parade. The installation will be a Tritium, arranged by the company that arranged t...

Buying a used Outlander PHEV
A question for the Outlander PHEV drivers... has anyone worked out how many km they get per kwH of charging? I get 6 km/per kwH on my Leaf, but the PHEV would be heavier. Just trying to work out whether the extra cost of getting set up to use off-peak electricity, at half the price per kwH, would be...

Model S in tv drama Good Behaviour
I was watching Good Behaviour on Stan and at the end of the second episode and throughout the third episode, a Model S featured heavily in the plot. At first I thought it was product placement, but they had the car running out of charge, so probably not. I'm always happy to see an EV featured in a t...

Hi, It is finally happening, a fast charger in Noosa at the Noosa Blue resort. I was invited to come and charge my Leaf for the launch, but unfortunately have to work. It launches Wed 9th November, and will mean that I can take my Leaf on a day trip to Noosa. Would love to see a fast charger located...

Test drive of Outlander PHEV vs Prius V
Is there any particular reason you've ruled out the Toyota Camry Hybrids? You can potentially get one cheaper than either the Prius or Outlander, depending on which particular model you go for, and while you lose two seats when comparing it to the Prius V you gain towing ability of up to 300 kg. (E...

Test drive of Outlander PHEV vs Prius V
I'm changing jobs, and sadly the 108km round trip is outside the range of my Leaf http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley19.gif We need one of our cars to be a larger one, and are looking at alternatives to our older Mitsubishi Grandis, so went for a few test drives this week. It is either a Outlan...

I organised another EV display for World Environment Day, and have some photos here: three Teslas and a Leaf
It was the first time that Tesla had brought a Model S to the Sunshine Coast for the public to see, although a few Model S cars have been displayed by their owners previously.

Hi, I've organised an electric car display again this year for the WED Festival at Cotton Tree Park, Maroochydore, on Sunday 5th June.
