Re: Frunk/Froot for Kona
I've posted this over on FB but thought it would a good idea to do a forum post. I figured the imported frunk from Austria was a bit too exxy fire me, so went the diy route. It cost less than $30 I bought a 30 litre container from Bunnings, 3D printed some posts that use the rubbers from the engine ...

Concern: 'New 2012' in 2016
Also wondering about Jeff's speed - 143.9km is quite impressive on the open road. I'm a fellow "new 2012" owner bought ( somewhat impulsively ) in feb 2016. I need to try out the EH sometime to gain confidence in the Leaf's range. My SOH ( via leaf spy pro ) is 79% ( sadly ) , I'm one bar down , I w...

Gaining extra range
Ok, have 2010 imiEV with range ~ 80km most of the time. In fact it increased inexplicably, having had the car for three years , a few months ago ( in middle of winter ... ) by about 5km and has been consistently higher since then. I'm going to disconnect the 12V batt and charge it since I have a 12V...

Thanks for the info - a real worry - really don't think that I was prepared for having such a lack of battery capacity. What is going to have to happen in a few years ( not too far off ) if we dont succeed is to find replacements - someone is going to have to go first and essentially plug in a new b...

I'll certainly keep on their case - this issue is too big to let go of it, let us know what your capacity is when you measure it

only problem with "lending" me a battery pack that doubles my range would be that it would be impossible get it back off me :) I think you are right, acmotor, Mitsubishi ( who we have not heard from since the report was lodged ) should really do better than that and I am glad I have the support of t...

That is precisely why I refused to pay the $300 charge for the battery test - because they clearly had not done a full discharge/charge and measured the charge kWh. As you correctly point out this is only an estimate from the BMS. They accepted ( eventually ) that I would not pay the $300 ( if a cel...

it was 78% SOC when they tested it ( I had driven it into the dealership)
They did not charge it from what I can determine
This is a standard Mitsubishi test

This other member - could you put me in touch with him? How did he "recalibrate" exactly? Did he upgrade his firmware? Bear in mind I have had this issue for a year since I have had it so it's certainly not going to fix itself :) I have also had a thought that it could be ( could ..) firmware on the...

Nope, wasn't bothered with small things - the battery is the most important thing SOC at 107% via canion is odd but I think the most important number is the capacity which we measure through discharge then charging it. I hope Mitsubishi Aus feel the same - there is a lot riding on this , my car is p...

Agreed, I'd be more than happy to get just 100km range - have never achieved that :( Check out the report I attached, clearly no rogue cells, wish there were, then battery would have been replaced without question - as you can see they have marked it ok because no rogue cells... even though capacity...

Correct has been done - g4qber has the captures but as acmotor says not much different to the dealer test - which showed no dead or damaged cells. I will attach a scan of the battery test asap. 2010 iMiEV - has done 18800 ks - 10k of that are mine , 8k done while AGL leased car - I suspect they left...

Further to this discussion - based on my dissapointing range ( 83km on the very best scenario drive I have done, 51km on the worst ) I bought a kWh meter for the switchboard and the capacity measurements have an average of 13.25 kWh from flat ( no blips left.. just) I once took the car to turtle mod...
