Apparently the U.S. spec i has two models, with different dash board configurations. I'm checking to see which one my daughter has, I assume its the base model. Here is what I'm finding:

I was thinking about buying a dashboard carpet cover for my daughter's i in the States for Christmas. May still do that. I thought maybe I'd then use it for a pattern to make one for ours here in Oz, just flip the pattern over for RH drive. Right?    http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley2.gif Ha!...

Kur, t, Earlier this week Muh Luvly and I did a trip to Costco in the i. I didn't log the kms, forgot to reset the A trip. As you've said earlier, after driving an EV for awhile you don't look at what distance you have left, -you look at your SOC gauge. Anywaym the first time we did this trip, when ...

I'm sure Mitsu would have sold at least a few more i-MiEV's here in Oz if the price had been A$19,000, but hey, that is about U.S.$16,600, and that is about what they're selling for in the States after rebate, and they're still not selling very well. From what I've heard in the States, the biggest r...

Here's an interesting comment/review by plugincars.com, a general EV blog site in the States, about Mitsubishi, it's i and new PHEV, which, btw, is further delayed in the U.S. until 2016 . . . Mitsubishi Despite making an early commitment to electric cars—and rumors that the entire Mitsubishi brand ...

I know here in Australia Mitsubishi Australia does not have any i-MiEV traction batteries "in stock." Replacements have to come by slow boat from Japan, unless you want to pay the air freight. Duh! I know this becuase the i that I bought back in January of this year had a faulty battery and I never ...

You guys have got me thinking, rethinking to be exact. I've heard that the petrol tax goes into the general fund, and is not explicitly reserved for roads, like it is in the States. That makes a big difference, really. And it is certainly true that, while EV's are heavy for their SIZE, they are rela...

Interestingly,In the U.S., Rhode Island, not particularly known for progressive legislation, is proposing that EV's get special, readily identifiable license plates. The reasoning is that EV's can potentially pose a lethal hazard to emergency and first responders if the power cables are exposed or o...

You Techo's have got me all confused! My '12 user's manual sez that the stop and tail lights are LED's and the rest of the lights are bulb lights, I assume 12v incandescent. If one can replace the headlights (low and high beams separate?) and other lights, can someone give the rest of us the LED lig...

A couple weeks ago I drove from Langwarrin to Ringwood (Costco) and return, 93 kms. It was a no-wind warm (17-18 degrees) Melbourne day. The trip was virtually all freeway, between 80 and 100 kms. When I got home I was on 2 bars and blinking. Two passengers. I'm overdue for my 1500 km complimentary ...
