Re: Tritium chademo at murrarie

That Veefil is a test unit. I have deleted it soo many times, but it keeps coming back. I am not sure who keeps adding it, but I wish they would stop as people might go there, find out it does not work and then be stuck.

Re: BMW Australia cancels future EVs to Oz

This is echoed by Nissan and Renault. I have not seen anything from Hyundai indicating whether they will halt import.

Re: 2nd Hand LEAF

Also you can use LEAF Spy and a ODBII dongle to check the stats of the battery. Look for modules which are sagging (each module contains 4 cells), as they will prevent the charging system filling each module. This is not a guarantee, but can give you an overview. http://www.electricvehiclewiki.com/L...

iMiEV has a J1772 and CHAdeMO ports. The chargepoint is a Level 2 station with J1772 cables. No adapters needed. Unlock the station with your card / phone app and plug in.

Like the CawWings app, this is all controlled from Japan. When Nissan Japan issue a replacement unit, then I guess Nissan Australia will do something.

What EVSE to replace dead Origin/ChargePoint?

They have UL and CE certifications, but to sell in Australia, you must submit them for testing to get the RCM. This adds an expense, so the price here will be higher than purchasing directly from the U.S.A.

Rust in Strut Tower

Hi,

could all Nissan LEAF owners please take their cars to a dealer to have their strut towers inspected before your warranty expires. I am being charged $300 for labour (not done it yet), Nissan are paying for parts as my warranty has expired.

Best to get it fixed for free.
