Contactor orientation
An Ac contactor should be cheaper than the DC ones for the same power rating and if included would island the equipment in the estop event. Ie smoke. The standard shut down for inverters is to isolate the ac first this stops the DC current and saves arcing at the DC isolation device. The 100 amps ...

Sorry Webber I may have not got my thoughts clear. If the Bms starts protecting the battery by turning off solar charge current and then turns off the ac into the inverter / charger then the only current flowing will be load current from the battery. If voltage is going high from over charge there i...

If the ac is turned off that is supplying the charge current and the dc from the solar then the current from the battery can only be out going I assume the battery management system is trying to save the battery from over charge if the current is going in. Fusing will protect from over current goi...

PIP-4048MS inverter
The sol setting is not to do with changing from grid to solar when the battery is full . A setting for when the inverter is used as a ups ( ensure battery is full then feed loads instead of wasting solar input to nothing ) may be a useful setting when used in a grid feed home.

The cable selection standards (AS3008 and AS3000 ) are used to select circuit breakers of the correct size to protect the unseen cable from over heating ( the characteristic of the way the circuit breaker performs is set to protect the cable it has both a thermal ( long term small overload ie 23 amp...

A double 15 amp out let can be feed with a 6 mm cable with a 32 amp circuit breaker combo ie rcd / Mcb And supply two 15 amp appliances at the same time The only restriction is if the cable run was to long voltage drop would come into play and the cable size would need to be increased The rul...

The A 1 and A 2 markings are usually on the coil of a contactor and with dc current we are usually worried about the flow thru the contacts.
