Sold: Vectrix VX1 with 9Kw Leaf Conversion $3500 - Newcastle NSW
Vectrix VX1 - with about 22,000 klms, fitted with 18 64AH Nissan Leaf Cells, Generation 2, tested to 58AH capacity at the weakest cell, only used for 500klms in the Vectrix, and 20,000 Klms from the donor vehicle. Re: Vectrix and assorted EV parts
So it turns out the batteries in the Vectrix are actually OK, there was a loose busbar that was causing a high resistance joint.
I'll re-list this bike with updated information. I don't have the room in my garage to store it, nor the time to ride it since I have a 700cc gasser (boo hiss I know).

I'm located in Newcastle, N.S.W but happy to ship via pack-n-send etc to get this to you at your expense. I've got a...

Wow. I paid twice that for the mower. I'm getting that trimmer though, that's cheaper than the body only.

Yeah its the same stuff. Good quality, mower is (still) running like a champ.
At half price its a steal!
I had a look on the site - is this coming up? Prices for where I am are the same as usual.

Bought - its a 40W CO2 with a 300 X 200 bed (roughly A4) that's brilliant for cutting perspex and plywood (and engraving glass/anodized aluminium).

Yep - there is a Newcastle charter of AEVA that was meeting at Catavolt, I've been a bit busy lately with life in general to go...
I'm of a similar background, have 2 Vectrix, and am into CNC laser cutting.

They are pretty decent, I bought the 80V mower (victa branded, but its just the EGO stuff re-badged).
Same thing - fan cooled battery charger that sucks the air through the cells, 300W fast charger(!).

Jack Rickard No BMS
That blinding belief in bottom balancing, and a mistrust (hatred?) of all things BMS led to this.
Funny that he actually he had no success in bottom balancing leaf cells, and admitted they probably need a BMS.
No, really Jack?

Interesting. I wondered when these would be coming in - they are the cheapest per kwh at the moment.

Yep sounds good.
I forgot the EV festival was on again, should take the Vectrix and do a couple of laps.
I *really* need to throw the leaf cells in it, the thundersags are living up to their name (143V resting to 102.9V @ 150A urk). Not going to be real competitive with anything at that rate.

Can this be reduced slightly to 158V? I think someone posted the details on a while ago. I'm interested as I need something with a bit more output for the 38 series leaf conversion in the vectrix. I have a 180V one that I was hoping to set to a lower voltage, but the Elcon thread died a death months...

Power Factor - what is it?
You can't - those wireless ones work with a current clamp and seem to assume a PF of 100. They are woeful with low PF loads - I had a capacitive divider charger that had a PF of 30, and drew 600W(ish) and the power meter showed it as 1800W.
