No I don't know if you can get these things in Aus, but then again I don't think you really want an aussie sourced my unit anyway as they are 240V. I got mine cheap from a US seller on EBAY and I know that JC Witney will ship them here no problem.

Hi guy's, unfortunatly my EV plans have stalled along with the Aussie $ so I have nothing further to report. Having said that, I've had this discission over several threads on a couple of different forums (including this one http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley24.gif ) and can tell you that at l...

It is still not as hot as the orginal (water) heater. Interestingly a couple of the guys on the DIYEV forum have tried my idea of using a zerostart type coolant heater and a water pump with the cars original heater core (see previous posts this thread). One guy claims it rivals his original heater ...

200w is the legal limit for un-licenced bikes. Someone should be shot for that regulation. http://forums.aeva.asn.au/smileys/smiley11.gif Yep!!! Bloody ridiculous law. A kid can do maybe 50kph on a BMX going to school but in S.A.I can anly do 25kph going to work and in W.A I believe you can only do...

I am also a licenced pilot and I would love to be able to perform many aspects of servicing an aircraft myself such as simply changing spark plugs and the like. But I am not allowed because even though I am certain I could do this safely myself I am not a qualified aircraft maintenance engineer. So...

It has been said above essentially that "it is my EV so I will do as I like". It is one thing to do your own 240V electrical wiring in your home (which technically is illegal). If someone gets a shock or a fire results it will be yourself/your family who will suffer the consequences and no one else...

How many of you guys are having your EV plans pushed back further and further by the state of the aussie dollar? 90% of people won't be doing a DIY conversion, let's be realistic. Let's look at LPG. You can't do your own conversion unless you happen to a be licensed LPG converter. There is a selection of LPG systems and suppliers, but the prices magically jumped when the rebate came in... The same thing will ...

I dont see why we need to have item 1. LPG type labeling should be sufficient, emergency personnel are trained to look for them. Other labeling should be a matter of choice. With item 2, the legislators set the rules that we must comply to. as long as we do comply then we shouldn't have to explain a...

Snak regarding point 11 I was alluding to the fact that in your post dated 4th AUG you appeared to support this and then in yeterdays post you appeared to change your tack. But there's no problem with that. At least not with me. Sorry if you though otherwise. Part 13 you got all wrong. mjcrow was as...
