Re: Electric Vehicle Survey Australia

Survey monkey is a commercial firm. They also conducted a survey for an over 55,s village near our house. It was skewed positively whereas my own personto person contact survey in the neighbourhood indicated strong opposition. The information you volunteer can be slanted for a preferred result.

Re: Tesla for sale 30k jeg in gumtree

Good news from Piman. Some 15 years ago a friend bought an AU Falcon privately in Sydney. Ad said it was "one owner, good condition, low K's bla blah." He didn't use the old Revcheck. It turned out to be a good car longterm, but he was never really able to find any joy in owning it after learning of...

Re: Auxiliary Battery - Why?

Interesting point from T1 terry about the auxiliary FLA only being charged to 13.2v causing sulphation.Surely a small inverter could remove this issue? Ah, but then the point was raised about 12v failure requiring a regular service visit. Onselling at it's best. " DO YA WANT FRIES(12v battery) WITH ...

Re: RETROFIT SOUND GENERATOR FOR EV?

In my Suzuki carry I fitted a button siren tone for use in carparks. It annoyed the heck out of me but I saw pedestrians look at the van and still continue on their way. As drivers, we still have a duty of care, even to those belonging to the Order of the Perpetually Mesmerised by Technology. As pre...

Re: Auxiliary Battery - Why?

Hi; A valid question and it is covered in NCOP14 guidelines. "2.12 Power Supply Priority... If safety equipment such as lights, brakes and windscreen wipers use the same power source as the traction motor, these services must be supplied in preference to the traction circuit. The design of any ancil...

For Sale Ad.

My question is : Do I qualify to post such an ad? I am not a financial member but I would think I have the thirty posts. Just a short yea or nay will suffice before I fill out the ad format for my Carry.

Hi, after a lot of detective work in the settings I discovered one that requires IP verification for each logon. The box was ticked so I unticked and hey presto! problem solved. I am not smart enough to have set that in the first place so go figure? :o

Some ten days ago I posted giving support, moral and financial to starting another independent forum to distance ourselves from the VB raiders. In the past I have had issu...

Re: Battery Suppliers

Not wanting to divert this thread, but I have a battery related query. On DIY EV Kiwi Duncan said that he was able to import Volt batteries from USA . As I am moving into the 21st century and soon re-cycling my Pb, I would appreciate any experiences, good or bad, with suppliers and any recommendatio...

Re: Battery pack placement

NCOP LAN 2011 Version2.0-1 "Mass distribution should be as low and CENTRALLY located as possible in the vehicle to assist with vehicle stability". In the Govspeak dialect MAY= we don't really care; SHOULD=we would like you to do this but it's up to you; MUST=MUST. :D Check for later versions of NCOP.

Re: Battery pack placement

Hi, just a thought that one of the regulations is that as little weight as possible be placed behind the rear axle line to avoid spinout . With lead that is a lot of leverage in a corner. :o
