Re: Used Outlander PHEV - concerns/risks

Hi folks. I just bought a 2014 Outlander phev third hand with 95,000 on the clock. Beautiful condition, but the battery is down to 34 km (29 if aircon on). I’ve booked it in at the nearest dealer (Bendigo) to get the battery officially measured, and am a bit surprised to learn from the warranty book...

Lead acid in 2012?

Thanks for that. The battery price just got cheaper again, so it looks like I'll use lead for a couple of years, and work on the SPS with the old ones. Lead acid in 2012?

Hi folks, newbie here, and lots to read yet, but thought I'd ask about batteries. I'm in need of six 12 volt 120 amp hour lead acid deep cycle gel cells to replace a 2 & 1/2 year old set. Looks like the retailer can do this for about $1750. I've never run EV before, and expect to learn heaps. My com...

Importing Chinese EV

Image Good one Canbra, and sorry you felt sledged.
I'd be intrested in one of these I reckon, so please keep us posted.
Also, if an electric clubman only had to do a small commute (15 km each way), how much could it be put together for, roughly?
