Private sales of Tesla Model S on Carsales
This one seems sold:
http://www.carsales.com.au/private/deta ... 8676/?Cr=0
"You either know about these cars or you don't please no stupid questions the car is new 3 weeks old, it drives like a brand new car."
now there is a new one for sale
http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/detai ... D-1891124/
seems that the model S is getting resold quicker than other EVs
I wonder if it is the same car?

The Melbourne one (with ZAPZAP plates) was spotted on the back of a tow truck in Adelaide - and according to Vicroads is still registered in VIC with rego expiring on the 26th of March 2016.
The one listed for sale in Adelaide says "rego expires March 2016"
The Melbourne listing says "may trade for interesting classic car" and the "Caravan, RV, & American Truck dealership" selling the car in Adelaide obviously has an interest in unique cars.
Both cars are blue, both have air suspension and solid roof (not sunroof)
I think there's a fair chance the dealer had a vehicle the Melbourne owner was interested in...
Although selling a car in SA with "9 months rego" when that rego is out-of-state seems rather dishonest - on the other hand they're more likely to find a buyer outside of SA which means it's irrelevant to most buyers.

Staggered that they are up for sale. People wait so long for these cars it seems bizarre. Must be some back story with these..

Hi,
One possibility is that he has decided he has to have the two motor version.

So does anyone know that that would translate to? 20% devaluation?
Personally I want the resale value to be lousy. So I can afford one

I think it's well know now that the resale value (depreciation) of this first wave of EV's is terrible. (Just hang on to them)
If and when EV's are more mainstream then this will settle down but there is two factors at play. The biggest would be used batterys. (We all know they are fine) but there would be a stigma around used battery;s and there useful life remaining. The 2nd factor would be like any new tech each model brings big improvements over the previous generation. Who wants the 150km range model when the 250km range model is out now. Or dual motor 4wd vs 2wd.
As for the model S. I think the kind of people that are looking at purchasing them (people looking for a expensive imported high performance, luxury sedan) Would be accustomed to taking a huge hit from depreciation when purchasing new. How many high spec BMW 5 series cars and the like do you see in car lots for $10,000 that are not that old that some mug payed over $100,000 for new. Just so he could have that $90,000 new car smell for a few years

Exactly what the US market is facing right now.
Truckloads of off-lease Leafs and Volts spilling back into dealerships. Nissan now handing out rebates to dealerships to shift them, lowering prices further.
Hopefully this will not kill the electric car........FOR THE SECOND TIME....

Not another "wife likes the Benz"........
So the car was $120k new plus options.....
Don't think the price is close. Someone may bite though.
Tesla don't include the cost of options when it comes to buyback (or they may only include a %)

Any that pop-up seem to be the non-performance versions in bad colours with the ugly basic wheels. :-/

Another Model S in SA for $145k. This one's a P85 that's done 12,000kms: http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/detai ... 4145/?Cr=0

This one was built in August 2014, which means it does not have the "autopilot" hardware, and also means it was never delivered to a customer as a "new car" - it was used as a demo vehicle or service loaner
And it's at the same RV dealership as the blue one (you can see it in some of the photos, with VIC license plate "ZAPZAP")

Relisting of "ZAP ZAP" tesla model s
It appears to be a relisting of the (pre-launch) P85 - the seller has added South Australian "ZAP ZAP" plates.
It's the same RV dealer that has the VIC registered blue "Zap Zap" - I guess they liked the plates

Price drop for this one
May have to drop further.
Or they will have to change their photo.
Looks like it was taken at a golf course

Wow at only $2773 a month. Two months of payments and I could buy the Vogue a new battery pack. I didn't realise that Teslas could get to that price! I guess the exchange rate doesn't help.
That's got to be someone just trying to cash in on an impulse buyer who hasn't got time for the waiting list.

Not putting much effort into the listing. A top feature of their $200,000 car is it is "certified roadworthy".
