2020 Outlander PHEV

Post by coulomb » Fri, 11 Oct 2019, 07:45

A friend recently paid a deposit on a 2020 Outlander PHEV. It seems that they are claiming some 100 km of all-electric range.

[ Edit: it seems that it's a 2020 Model Year, which means late 2019, which means the model with the ~10 kWh / ~50 km EV only range battery. Sigh. ]

He didn't take a photo of the charge port, and isn't EV savvy yet. Anyone know what the charge ports are going to be in Australia? I'm guessing CHAdeMO for the quick charge port, but type 1 or type 2 for the other?

Also, any word on a realistic release date? The sales people seem to be saying early next year, but I'm suspecting it may be later than that.

[ Edit: "Highlander" → "Outlander". Sigh. ]

So, based on the the claims made for the previous model, 60 km real world electric range. Perhaps 80 if you're going downhill.
