Outlander power consumption.

Post by francisco.shi » Thu, 08 Nov 2018, 10:04

I am working on an electric Pajero and I am trying to get an idea of how big a battery I will need. I have no idea how much power it will take to keep the car moving. So I guess the outlander will be as close as I am going to get to a Pajero.
Does anyone with an outlander know how many kw it takes to keep the car going at 60kph and 100kph?

It's hard to glean figures from the outlander but I'm guessing about 7 to 8kw for 60km/h and around 20kw for 100km/h. Maybe someone has better figures.

Nah I doubt it - they seem pretty good to me

Unless someone actually did a roll down test and weight the car.
And why would anyone have done that
