VF2 SSV Redline - Hybrid EV conversion?

Hi, newbie here.
I've got a VF2 SSV Redline, and curious about what it'd take to make the front wheels electrically driven for about the 0-30 to 0-60 km/h speed range.
From the perspectives of acceleration, city traffic efficiency, something different & something to do... wandering if this has any merit.

With the RWD Commodores being expensive and a diminishing return with RWD power mods (Blower/Turbo etc.) due to lack of traction from, and significant costs & limitations with entire drivetrain, was wandering what benefits powering the front 2 wheels could yield...

Anyone have the expertise to pull this off?
If so, any ideas what's involved & what sort of costs are involved?

As a reference, a blower package (TVS2300 /2650) seems to get going at $15k++, then Cam, then Exhaust, likely engine internals, OTR CAI, then trans upgrade, tailshaft, diff, / replacementwith GTS drivetrain ... eve worse with Turbo.

and after all of that, you're left with a powerhouse RWD with no chance at traction with Wet & Dry street tyres in the 0-60km/h. Also, chances of drivetrain warranty coverage go south, and chances of drivetrain issues go north.

So, rather than embarking on a known, expensive (great sounding v8 roar ) but little ability to accelerate cleanly at the lights to 60-80 or so, I was wandering if there's anything sneaky that could be done with the front 2 wheels, full of weight & traction, sitting there doing f-all atm.

Keen to hear thoughts & ideas - including whether or not this is a plain-a55 dumb idea...

You are better off converting the whole thing to electric.
The most expensive part of the whole project are the batteries.
If you get the ICE out you can easily put a motor or for the front and a motor for the back.
Your biggest difficulty will be getting the electric motor with diff under the petrol engine.

If you want to go hybrid, I agree with what Francisco said, good luck squeezing in an electric motor in the engine bay with an engine there already. You could go hub motors but it'll probably be underwhelming, and engineering nightmare (making everything fit and work well) and I haven't seen anything with hub motors pass licensing.
You'd be better off going all in with electric but in a full conversion you will have to make all the computers happy (abs, bcm, cluster, hvac....the list on a VF is almost endless). I can see a multitude of traumas and breaking new ground. Be prepared for lots of work.

I'd love to see an EV commodore destroying the big noisy V8s down the track and it's not my time or money so do it

A Nz guy did a vt ute a few years ago to full electric.
Next level workmanship. Casting his own parts to make motor and gearbox one unit.

I believe the cars that this fellow is racing have pushrod V8 engines mostly, they're a bit slow off the line.

Throw that V8 in the bin, it just can't compete if you want fastest to 80km/h. 15k buys a lot of electric motor.

The technology is basically there but no demand means it doesn't exist for aftermarket converters.
If you think of something like a Yasa-750 is almost there as a hub motor.
Two in the front means an extra 200kW+.
But I'd think that would be $50k+ just for the motors and controllers.
5-10kWh of LTO batteries would just be enough to get the power.
That's another $3.5-$7k.

AWD Monaro perhaps...
