Thanks coulomb, sadly the device is in another location, but with the first chance i will take a few photos of the stickers.
PS: now that you've mentioned about the heatsink, i'm sure that mine doesn't have it on top. I used a pic from the sellers website for that model, because the single photo i have is the one with the specs that i posted, but i didn't noticed that until you pointed out.
Anyway, i'll get back with more pics.

Thanks again for your time,
Marius.

Yes, that's a good sanity check (don't forget to exit WatchPower before the re-flash, not just close the window). That won't guarantee that it will work with the reflash tool, but it's a great indication.

@mariusvaida hi, what do you have there, is a clone. I doubt you will be able to flash it. I have also two of this clone, tried to flash without success. I can't send personal message, it's brand new registration on this forum.

Do you refer to my EASUN unit?

Do you have EASUN units, too?
Would be great to share details.

Hello,

I have been confronted with the problem on 2 systems equipped with VOLTACON 5KVA 48 PLUS DUO MPPT inverters, the problem is the following:

48V lead battery system 400Ah, with picture setup, charges the batteries at 100% and does not switch to battery and puts the panels to the limit even if is a sunny day, I have installed power of about 10KWp.
which could be the cause ?

I have try to lower the back to discharge to 48V and i have the same result, it not commute on solar and stay only on grid!
Best regards,

I believe that you need SBU output priority mode, not "Solar first". See this post, Weber's table about parameter 1, Output Source Priority, available from the first-post index.
Edit: Sigh. I see that you already have SBU. I'll get back with a better answer soon.

Model type: stand alone !!!!!

You have to put in parallel mode. Be careful if join AC OUTPUT of two PIPs without parallel card and parallel setup.

If you looking at the procent you will se that are working in parallel, I have 3.5KWh and I have 43% from a total of 8KW ora 10KVA.
Also I see that the software showing as Stand Alone, but they works as parallel.
Also they are defined as Master and Slave.

Actually u have installed 3 system and each one has 2 inverters connected in parallel with the Master and Slave defined. What I have seen is that 2 groups have version 75.2 and are these with this issue and the one that is functioning properly has 76.3, it is possible to be this the problem?

It's possible, but seems unlikely. Did you mean 75.20 instead of 76.3?

Factory firmware 75.31 and lightly patched firmware version 75.31a are available from the index in the first post. I've not heard of firmware version 76.XX. [ Edit: Yet it certainly exists; see photo a few posts below. ]

Yes, I think that's just what WatchPower displays when the appropriate QPIRI field indicates a Machine Type of off-grid (with or without multiple SCCs).

Edit: confirmed: queryMachineInfo() in P30PlusDuoComUSBProcessor.class .

Why shows in Watchpower 2 usb connected inverter? Mine are also parallel tied but shows only 1, the master. Have you connected both inverter to your PC? My advice, download Lucibus, trial version and play with the settings. The software send commands to the inverters ans so you can see if is software related or something else. That's my humble opinion.

Paralleled and three-phase machines are all aware of each other, whether master or slave. My understanding is that you should always see all your machines in WatchPower, in the inverter navigation panel (tall left panel of the initial screen).

Yes, it looks like WatchPower uses the 14-digit serial number to distinguish between machines. So that explains why you only see one machine.

I'm surprised that two machines would have the same serial number. You mention the word "cloned"; do you know that yours are not made by Voltronic Power? If they are clones, then I don't know anything about them. It's unclear to me whether the inverters themselves (as opposed to WatchPower) will get confused, e.g. perhaps not sharing loads properly. If you bought from a reputable distributor, I'd have words with them and see if you can get the serial number issue fixed.

You must not be surprised, in China will be always a manufacturer (at least) who clone another succes sale. Voltronic is no exception, mine looks like a genuine voltronic but are slightly bigger (are dipper). Loads are shared properly until now, I will see how it handles a second PV string on second inverter. Reputable distributor? That's a good joke, I leave in Romania. Have you heard from 72.90 firmware? That's a special firmware for cloned inverters. That's also a joke.

In wich voltronic have you seen this firmware version? Thats the official statement from the seller, recived via email from chinese manufacturer: ” its a special firmware developed ( maybe becose of copyright) for this inverter, it's not upgradable". I don't think so, when I have the time and money, I will throw in a daughter board (cpu board) from an original aexpert or voltronic to see how it handle the main board. What do you think of my ideea? Firmware writing on this daughter board is so hard? If you want or anyone else want some picture from inside for comparison, I will make. The hole ideea is: maybe the cloned version main board have other caps or mosfets or igbt or other improvements. I have change on this inverter the fans a half year ago. Until now only once per inverter haved the fan lock error. Fans are arctic cooling f4 or such.
Sorry for my bad english.

Yes, error 90 fortunately does not refer to a hardware issue.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

Hi all,

SUCCESS ! :D

Today I received the USB to Serial converter (ordered via AliExpress from China to Switzerland).
After connecting my PC to inverters RJ-45 port I startet Watchpower.
Then I switched the inverter on and heard the horrible long Error Code 90 beep … but before the inverter shut itself down Watchpower detected the inverter on COM3 port and showed me all the data (and showed Firmware 72.00).
As always (since I have the error), after 30 secs the inverter shut itself down again.

With the gained confidence that my USB to Serial was working, I started the ReflashTool (using 72.20C for my 64V inverter).
After convincing Windows that I really trust the SW, It already showed COM3 in the Window.
I powered on the inverter (beeping permanent again) and quickly clicked the button "Update".
5 seconds later the beeping stopped !! Yeehaaa !
It took 9 mins to write all the blocks. Error 90 was still visible in the display all that time.
The inverter rebooted and then the error code 90 was gone from the display. This is when you could hear another "Yeehaaaa" in my hobbyroom.

Yet another five seconds later then the 230V showed up in the Display.

All seems to work (at least inverter, have no SCC input yet)

Watchpower and display show Firmware version 72.20C now.

And I have now much more to cycle through with my buttons ... it even showed my that I have 19 degree celcius in my hobbyroom (while we have snow outside).

Big big thank you to Coulomb and everyone that helped to work out how to update those inverters, you are awesome !!!

Can't wait to mount the inverter against the wall again and connect it to my 2464 18650 cells (14S176P) !!
Guess I will be ready when sunny days are coming back :D

Did I thank everyone here already ? Oh yes, I did already ..... Anyway, I do it again: Thx Coulomb and team, you folks are great !

PS: I ordered a EASUN SM III 5K now (http://easunpower.com/content/?992.html) for another set of panels and the second EV (Model 3) that should arrive in 6 weeks. Hope you will manage to also support those devices the same way !
