Sorry your post appears to me as one line and nothing else.

Sorry even my 7yo had the thought of making the roof of actual panels some time ago.
Just goes to show if my 7yo was running a multi-million $$ company...

Better watch out Elon Image

I definitely thought of it when I got a quote to re-roof my sunroom with corrugated iron, which was more than the cost of covering it in solar panels. Only problem is current solar panels have gaps.

I looked at solar tiles in the past, so they're nothing new. Here's two examples of ones already sold in Australia:

Hmm that's an issue.
Imagine trying to replace a faulty one.
I was basically hoping to do the whole roof.

I guess that's why Tesla went with the thicker quartz glass and smaller panel size.

Then again the thought of wiring a few hundred mini panels doesn't enthuse me either.
I hope they are in a click-2-busbar format Image

Not sure why the first Monier link didn't work, try this one:

http://monier.com.au/Products/Solar

I have family in SA so purchase wouldn't be an issue. Image

Richo, the Monier tiles are designed to be able to be walked on, unlike the Stratco ones.

The thought of wiring together a roof top of any of these solutions would fill anyone with dread. I'm with you in hoping they came up with a nifty wiring solution.
