Yes stock tyres at 40psi all round, Fronts will need changing for summer wet season next October.

Agreed, Kurt, you are getting a good range.
The lithium gods are smiling on you.
My best run recently was 115km to 1 bar.
Did you grab a battery status screen at the end of your 138km run ?
It would be interesting to see the cell voltages.
Typically I see 3.7V at 1 bar.

"Claims of amazing range on the AEVA forum were at last put to rest when they discovered that the driving style was not quite what they thought."

I don't think it's amazing. The car had traveled 120km when I hit 20% SOC. I then went on to do the extra 18km.
Ac Motor yes I logged the trip on Canion.
At the end of the trip 138km at 8% SOC the car perform as good as it did at 100%SOC. On the way back to my garage I did a full throttle take off pulling 48,000w from the cells and they were relatively flat(balanced) lowest cell was 3.575v under that 48kw load. Way off the 2.75v LVD point.
A km or so later In the Garage at 7.5% SOC cells at rest. Cell where at 3.645v with the lowest cell at 3.625V - 20mv variation. This is way under 1 bar (as in turtle is showing though strange now power restriction in my car)
I think there is a good slab of capacity tucked away under what the dash gauge calls empty.
As long as it travels my 104km trip up the coast for about 11 more months until I move out of Brisbane. Then I will only need about a 50 km range 99% of the time then.
I still say a 100km range from New but day to day I have a 20% min (on the dash gauge) DOD rule and allowances for other things that could make a trip use more energy.

You certainly have a good car though Kurt. Some of it must be put down to driving style - some to 40 PSI on the tyres and some to well preserved cells prior to you buying the car. The Queensland temperatures help with slightly higher capacity as well and you have mentioned before that you take care not to leave it parked in the sun.
The result of good management and circumstances I think.

Yes it was warm yesterday 32C with warm overnight minimums 25C so that always gives the cells a bit of a capacity boost. Though not the best for longevity.
When I first got the car I hoped to get 10 years use from it befor replacing the battery. That might be a bit optimistic but it will be interesting to see how linear the capacity loss is. Or if it slows down. As I mentioned it needs a solid 50km range (to town and back) with Aircon on befor it becomes useless to me.

An unusual situation for me last Thursday - I did a fair stretch of driving over (relatively) flat ground, instead of my usual drive which ends up with 5km of steep hills before I reach home.
Did a full charge that night, and woke up to a range estimate over 100 for the first time ever! In fact, as I drove to work (downhill for the first sections) I saw a peak of 113km on the estimate-o-matic...
Not bad for a car going on 6 years old.

Since my normal commute involves coming home mostly uphill, and the fact that I rarely charge to 100%, I usually see about 80km in the mornings. I think the previous record was 91km. That last 5-8km of steep hills really confuses the running total algorithm...
That said, I can often end up with 70-80km after my 30km drive to work (largely downhill), so this it's not entirely surprising. Just - nice to actually SEE!

Yes the only true way to know your range is to test your car using your trip meter and a fully charged car. By driving the car until it's empty and recording the KM traveled. You can't dispute it then. that's your range.
138km mixed driving in the areas I can drive my car in is my real range to 8% SOC.
60km - 158km is what my guesometer range is over the years.
From November this year. My daily commute will be 24km round trip two times a day with charging in between School run morning and again in the afternoon. 50km total driving a day x 5 days 250km a week.
So my range has to drop down to below 25km on a full charge befor I need a new battery. As long as It can do the 25km then it will still be very handy car and save some 250km of diesel driving each week.
I would say their are many more Imiev owners who have a short daily commute. Or lots of small trips each day. So for many of us it could take many years befor a new battery can be justified.

I will fill it out tonight when I have some more details on hand.
I noticed you mentioned $12k for a replacement pack. Didn't skylogger get his for 5-6k. Why double the price.

No one is going to pay 12k for a Imiev battery.
Perhaps that was just a go away price.

Skylogger's battery pack was the last of the old LEV50 cell packs. Thus the price was good...
Now only the LEV50N cell pack is available for all I-Miev's. They do perform better than the LEV50 but still same capacity.
12k is joe public price. Not trade price by a long shot....

At 330 Volts, the battery pack and other DC components were in the same range as my 240V nicad-powered conversion, which peaks out at exactly 330V. This was appealing to my tinkering tendencies, as I could see several iMiEV parts that would be an upgrade for my conversion. (I even have aims on being able to shuttle charge between the two vehicles as a form of DIY quick charging, but of course only after the battery warranty expires in eight years

Thought I would post some EV+ battery condition readings in here.
2010 i-Miev
in March 2016, 30,000km condition 80%, capacity 38.4Ah
in Dec 2017, 45,000km condition 74.38% capacity 35.7 Ah
Range according to the meter still typically varies between 80 and 100km fully charged.
