30k km Service

Post by Gabz » Tue, 21 Apr 2015, 02:56

be warned apparently they need to empty the battery for this service.

I wasn't informed of this so I picked up the car with 17km range to empty and 3ish bars. When the women who organises the bus rang me didn't tell me by coming early they would take my car off charge.

So the afternoon ended up being an adventure, made it to work and caught up on some hours.

also due for new tyres 1.5mm left on fronts still 3mm on rears, they quoted maxxis MAP1 for $115 + aligment http://www.maxxistyres.com.au/tyredetai ... id=4&cat=1

but everyone recommends the continentals right ? ecocontact 3 or ecocontact eP ?

What exactly does Mitsubishi do in a service? They sent me a email reminder that my service was due (18000) but when I enquired as to what the service entails there was no reply.

it's in your manual the exact details but I was meant to have my brake fluid and air filter replaced everything else is just an inspection make sure nothing has fallen off.

no idea, why they did the depletion of the battery nothing explains it well... I reset the trips before I left home and for a 30km from my house to there centre but when I picked it up it had done 81km.. so they took it for a 50km "test" drive.

Tyres-
My Tyre shop couldn't get the Continentals and it appears that they have stopped making the 155/60 R15 (front size), so I went for Kumho, which drive nicely. They are significantly quieter than the original tyre and steer better.

The odometer is about 30,000 km - bucketing down now so I won't look.
It's not the end of the world, but I can see it from here.

seems to have lots of issues with continentals

got the continental ecos EP 145/65R15 on the front

after an argument with them after my wife came home with the car ended up with continental premiums 2 on the rear 175/55R15. they say they told me verbally they couldn't get the ecos in the rears. I say they never told me that they where swapping the model of tyres. my email to them explicitly asked for ecos.

still managed to get the buy 3 get 4 discount so ended up being all for tyres $550 including $55 for a wheel alignment.
