That red warning graphics with the person sitting down with the ball in front of them. Is that the same graphics you get when a person dosn't have there seatbelt on?

It's just funny that the identical graphics are used on my ICE car for airbag warning light.

What about jiggling the seat belt buckle. I know every now and then I get a sound and a warning light on my Imiev (seatbelt warning) I just give the buckle a push and pull and it disappears. I assume its just the contact sensor in the seatbelt not registering for a second.

I have a theory that if you're reasonably slim your body wont apply much tention to the buckle and it looses it's contact. I come to this conclusion as I get the issue when I accelerate hard up a steep hill. Body held back into the seat and less tension on the belt/buckle. Tug the seatbelt and it clears the warning.

I think they all do as well or better than most ice cars but some are very padantic about insignificant issues.

This has been a common error "generic" warning in most bmws since idrive, it could be triggered by something as simple as a faulty electrical such as a faulty cigarette lighter. It could also be the real deal so you need to plug in or go to the dealer and get the exact diagnostic code it should help narrow this down.

Still I wonder about the value of the system that is faulty.
If someone is forgetting to put their seat belt on what else do they forget.
Perhaps they forget to indicate at roundabouts.
Or to replace the broken tail lights.
Or leaving the kids in the car all day
Or forgetting to put them in the car and backing over them.

Skip 20 years and we'll all need google cars because we cant drive.

Hey Joseph surely the BMW knew you had an easter egg in your lap Image

BMW fixed for now. 2 days to get car back.
Interesting how close one is to the windscreen in a BMW.
I guess they try to make them as close to a sports car as possible.
I keep forgetting to release the park brake cos I'm used to the i3's electric park brake.
but the cool thing is that the BMW reminds you that the brake is on, unlike most other cars that remind you with burning brake pad smell.
The reverse cam in the loaner 320i wasn't as clear or bright as the i3.

Glad to have the i3 back.

saw another i3 with turbine style wheels too
we waved at each other.
they were picking up their darker carpet.
Will have to meet up one day.

seems that 2 other i3s have been sold last week.
2014 Wheels Car of the Year helps it seems.
Fast Charge is still an option in Australia.
In US, fast charge and heated seats are included in the next release of the i3.

2 i8s are also on order.

Are you moving the front driver seat? There potentially is a sensor pad near the seat or the mat that might be faulty or being hit. I haven't got my car yet so cant confirm but again ice versions had this same error so just trying to find similarities.

Seems thar first fault was due to steering wheel airbag
So nothing to do with passenger seat wiring

Awesome so in summary we have:
Toyota killer bits that kill you while driving,
BMW with faulty fun bags and kill you if you crash
and a Chevy that will kill you by poisoning you when your parked

Anybody know how the Mitsubishi kills its occupants?

In all fairness the Volt is just exercising it's inner "Christine" and poisoning d**^&%ds who leave the car switched on when they leave it.

Fixed now
Part was supposed to take 15 days to come from Germany
But it took 7 days.
Fixing was suppose to take 1 day but took 2 days.
So had to use Imiev to demo the Veefil
This has Been the 2nd time where the Imiev has been called to demo the Veefil cos the Bmw was in the shop
