Welcome to the fold!
You won't regret it!

As for impractical vintage machinery of limited daily use......my shed contains things like 1950s boat engines, the very first model Victa mower where the cut height needs a spanner to set it, a 1930s postcard printing machine, complete one hour photo minilab setup, pre ww1 treadle sewing machine, various weird and wonderful obsolete hand tools, and a slowly growing blacksmith setup.......then inside the house there are old typewriters and record players and super 8 camera and projector, forty odd film still cameras and several slide projectors and slide mounting machines and I don't think I really need to go on.......
Old stuff nobody else wants is stuff I still find cool....

Maybe I will convert my classics to electric some day.......

nice meeting you reecho in person.

something interesting.
reecho has better place cable, but it is different from my better place cable.
the plastic tongue that clicks into the j1772 car socket has been filed into a point.
mind is still a rectangle
Please upload the photos you took of the blue catch.

my BP cable doesn't work with richo's 2010
and his BP cable produces a fault with my 2011

as gabz says, there might be a different resistor.

richo's 2010 imiev has 4 pins,
ie no pilot pin.

we tested this at the RAC driving centre today.
a whole bunch of commodore and nissan skyline revheads present.
unforgotten car club.

batman dongle also doesn't show cell temps nor voltages.
says "random values" on those pages.

It appears the telematics module is still fitted to my car!!. SIM still installed but not enabled on Telstra's network. Looks like simple connection to power and CAN bus.

It's a Mobile Devices C4D module....

got into the car today and removed the telematics module completely. It was hooked up to a gateway ECU supplied by Mitsubishi. Hmm i wonder what this does.....some sought of translation i guess...

Thats the small piggy pack in the pic, with the molex 2 pin connector going to the telematics module.

Also the 2010 has a genuine but fitted locally immobiliser module under seat. That drives the blue LED up front...

Oh and my bottle of tyre goo is "out of date"..... :-)

$14990 for 30k Kms
$15990 for 18-20k Kms
$16990 for 17k Kms

Driveaway pricing for AEVA members.

I wonder what paceway are gonna do when they're all gone.

Good to see paceway on corporate page finally.

Any opinions on the km? Is it worth paying more for the lower km? We are probably only doing low km (currently about 10,000km a year, but half that may be country km which won't be suitable for the imiev), so it seems like the higher km one might be more sensible.

Hey Mike, we're looking very likely to have a DC fast charge highway operational by the middle of next year. The RAC have confirmed that they want to fund an electric highway from Fremantle to Bridgetown and or Augusta. So that ChaDeMo port might just get some work!

Great news on the ev highway Image

"Any opinions on the km?"

Considering the high mileage one is only 30,000km and the low end 15,000km there isn't much in it. I would be going by the condition of each car. Some people take care of there cars more than others.

Are they all the same year model 2010?

Had a look today. The cheapest (30,000km) one has a bit of damage on the front bumper and it looks like the radiator has been pushed back an inch. Probably not a big problem, but worth paying a bit extra to avoid. A shame as it appears in good nick otherwise. Paceway have quite a few iMiEVs out the back as well as the 4 they are advertising currently, so could be a while before they run out. Just need to decide whether to grab one now or wait to see if they get any cheaper.

Persuaded them to sell me a nice silver one from out the back, 20,000km and $15,000. Seems like a great car at these prices.

Just have to wait for them to register it before I can pick it up.

It is missing the tiny rubber mudflap thingies from above and behind the rear wheels. Anyone know if they do anything useful?

I've seen the rear of an iMiEVs get pretty muddy. So... possibly not much.

Can anyone explain the charging cable differences previously discussed to me?
Mine has a black cable. There seems to be an adapter of some sort screwed together just before the 15A plug. There is a note in the documents saying
"Modified to enable control pilot signal connection to Level 2/Mode 3 EVSE"
Is this a good thing?

yes it basically means that you can use public chargers.

the first 2010 i-miev did not meet the J1772 standard. they just used the plug.
yours doesn't meet the standard but works well enough to get away with it.

Does the paperwork say club assist ?

Simon and Eddie s Imiev has this paper work

You get the best of both worlds
Some people on this forum don't believe in EVSEs
Please verify that there are 5 pins present. The 5th pin is the pilot signal

Yes, it did say club assist on the tag.
Anyone know what the extra connector is? It is screwed together really tightly. Do the public charge stations generally have a normal 15A socket or require something special?

Picture below.

Public chargers that you can use with upgraded imiEV are the j1772 type. They have the plug and cable hardwired to the bollard so all you need to do is connect it to the car.
