Following several emails to and from Castle Towers management, they have given EV owners permission to charge using the power outlets in their multi story car park. Power points are located near the fire stairs in each corner.

I should follow Greg's example
and
get in contact with Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre to see if they are willing to allow EVs to charge using their 10A power sockets in the new Myer annex carpark.
Will be interesting to see if they are open minded enough.
Subject to OSH regulations of course.
ie. cables being a trip hazard.

Apologies for the dim photos at the Holiday Inn, my camera doesn't have a flash. I ought to return during the day. I asked reception about plugging in and they said I have to be a member of NRMA (I think they meant ChargePoint).
There was also a bit of uncertainty about usage policy. They weren't against me using it (one of them was actually interested to see it being used) but also didn't think that it was meant for anyone off the street to use. I told them I'll be at the bar while waiting for the charge so that helped. Next time I plan to charge while having dinner at the restaurant.

it is now live... thanks for putting it on the map.
I have just emailed Cooma Chamber of Commerce with a request letter to see if they can get a business to just give access to an outdoor plug to start with. .then Canberra EV drivers might be able to do Canberra - Cooma - Jindabyne - Snowy Mountains , for a bit of a fun drive. Then I might try Canberra to Sydney if I can get one in Cooma.
Anyone who wants to see the letter I wrote to the Chamber ofCommerce, just whim me.

Another one to add to the list is the Mittagong Welcome Centre. ChargePoint have just installed a new J1772 there.

Hi people,
I have just posted Stockland Malls tentative plans for installing new EV chargepoints in another thread. As this thread is intended to keep all NSW charging points in one place, I list below the Stockland Malls in NSW which are planned to have charging points. I have cut and pasted the below from their email to me:
a)"We have planned to install additional NSW locations in Jesmond (Newcastle), Shellharbour (South Coast) and Baulkham Hills in Sydney this financial year."
b)"We will take a look at the portfolio again later this year and plan for additional locations in FY17... possible NSW locations could include Wetherill Park, Merrylands, Nowra, Bathurst, Forster and East Maitland."
The above for info.
Cheers
Paul

Hi people,
I checked Plugshare yesterday and noticed two charging sites in Woolworth's car park at Dee Why in Sydney. They are just Clipsal 15amp (I think?) points. I checked them out and there is absolutely no signage to indicate they are EV charging points.
Does anyone know if EVs have been given permission to use them?
I ask the question because I go to the cinema at Warringah Mall (near Dee Why)and have noticed many identical Clipsal power points there. I emailed Warringah Mall asking if they were available for use by EVs and was told that they were not for EV use but only for use by their maintenance staff. They added that they had no plans to introduce EV charging points at Warringah Mall.
My conclusion is that just because there are 15amp power points in a car park does not mean we can use them.
Thanks
Paul

i get the opinion that some people are just posting pictures of powerpoints they findin carparks and declare it a charging point regardless if they have permission of not.
Westfield Miranda have responded to an email i sent, and state they are looking into installing EV charging infrastructure, as is Kiora Mall carpark in Miranda.
Nil response from Liverpool westfields or campbelltown.
