Gabz, are you looking for a slow charge (overnight) or fast charge (20-30 minutes) type charger?

There are two Blink L2 units at Tullamarine airport (I have used these) and I believe 2 at the Arts Centre. I joined Blink about a year ago via their website and the cards came from the USA.
If you can park in the same place all day perhaps it might be more useful (and cheaper) to just install 3 or 4 15A 3-pin outlets. This can be one for you and the others for your collegues who buy electric cars after seeing yours

While I have no info to assist you re charge stations (Assuming Fast Charge) in Melbourne, I have just discovered only 5 possible in Sydney - as far as I know they are Fast Charge and i) and ii) are free - however you have to pay for your Parking - (for your time in the Car Park to charge up):
i) Goulburn St Car Park (corner of Goulburn and Elizabeth Streets)
ii) Kings Cross Car Park (9A Elizabeth Bay Rd, entry via Ward Avenue)
iii) Derby Place Glebe (off Glebe Point Rd near the school)
iv) Burwood - Steve Jarvin Nissan (and Mitsubishi) Corner of Lucas and Paramatta Rd
v) North Strathfield - George St - in front of the restaurants on the street - approx 300m up from Paramatta Rd.
Hope this helps someone...I just spent 3 very frustrating hours verifying the 'operational' ones (versus the inoperational ones)- as of today 1 Oct 2013. (and thanks to Mark Taylor who I found on this Forum and who was very helpful when I contacted him, I was able to get some valuable info)
As I live on the Central Coast, and only recently bought an iMiEV I thought it'd be reassuring to know there are some fast charge stations I can access when I'm in Sydney.
Does anyone else know of any other Fast Charge stations around Sydney city metro and outskirts please?

Someone at my husband's work mentioned there were a few Fast charge stations at the Hornsby and Tuggerah Westfield car parks - however we were a bit disappointed when we arrived at the Tuggerah one (Central Coast) to find that it was not in service. Again, many phone calls and hours later, discovered that this was not Westfield's choice - Westfield took on the initiative and contracted a company who installed and serviced the fast charge stations - but this 'contractor' unfortunately had gone into liquidation only a couple of months ago, (per one press article I came across) their demise was due to lack of use; they had anticipated the EV's would be in more demand - hence the installation of the charging stations at Hornsby and Tuggerah - and that the market would be flooded with them... ... early days though.

Hi,
I live at Mt Colah, about 2km off the F3 (oops, it's called the M1 now!), if you need a few amp-hours to make sure you get home from Sydney, you can plug in at my house. I have a 10A external power point (for my gas hot water), you'd just need a 5m extension lead.
I'll send you my phone number in a private message.
cheers,
Woody

That would be the better place mob I would say, there are quite a few of these locally as well, none of them work.
I usually note where there is a free power point in the carpark and ask centre management - they are pretty good about it.

I think the NRMA chademo in Strathfield is the only fast charger (30min to 80%, 5 on the list), the rest are J1772s.

Hi Woody,
Thank you that's great! I have talked to Aaron (my husband) and he was really appreciative of the offer.

I inhabit Mr Gabz,in the ballpark of 2km off the F3 (uh oh, its known as the M1 now!), in the event that you require a couple of amp-hours to verify you return home from Sydney, you can connect to at my house. I have a 10a outside force focus (for my gas boiling point water), you'd recently require a 5m broadening lead.
I will send you my telephone number in a private message.

Should we put a thread in the members section for members charging locations/power points?
