In my experience, fixing various appliances, pulling 10A from a 10A outlet with a 10A plug leads to burnout eventually. Better to use a 15A plug and socket for currents near 10A.

Yes, 10A equipment will work, but not for ever. Make sure the plug/socket mating is clean and firm. It should give you a few years.

2400W fan heaters are a good indication of how well it will go. As Renard suggest you may need to replace the lead and the power point after a year or so. Use a brand new power point and never let anyone plug any dirty leads into it - EV ONLY!

Just a thought on keeping sunlight away from the metal live suspension torque torque tube if you go that way.

There is a possibility of a lot o metal holding the motor tho the rear axle.
That could be used for keeping the motor cool, like a big heat sink with air rushing over it.

Sunlight shining on the metal frame could raise it to be very hot to touch.

Your likely to have it covered and the main frame surrounding it.
But thought it was worth mentioning... QLD is suppost to be the sunshine state.

Just another thought, have you looked at the VW rear torsion bar set up? no axle twist possible and some softening of the rear end for kidney longevity. You could pick up a rear torque tube assembly from a wreckers cheap and cut it down to size.

yeah I passed people easier on the earlier runs, but without a push start the extra weight of mine was a bit of a disadvantage!

It was very stable, but if anything the front end was too light. Most of the pushing was due to braking too hard into the corner, or the wheel jumping over rocks.
On decent ground the front end is very responsive.

Weight distribution is about 60kg rear and 25kg front with no rider.

Difference between having suspension on the front but not the back?

Hows the layout going.

Your earlier chassis layout with seat, handle bars, front wheel and rear wheel loactions are the base. Maybe you need to add virtual iPaul to show rider position.

Looking at my cars rear suspenssion it gets complicated under there.

I would like to see your suspension with shock absorbers too.
The forces on the mounting points are very large too.
Side latereal motion and eliminating stresses through the motor need to be considered too.

Have a look at this on ebay. They show what it could turn into in the extra pics

Also the GTM trikes have lots of info on chassis construction.
But they are for more passengers.
