ah well,
a while back I picked up a Eunos 30X with the intention of getting it registered in ICE form, and driving it round for a while until I had parts / funds for an EV conversion.
It looks like I'm not going to have the funds for a fair while, and it's turned out to have a few ICE related issues that mean I'd have to spend more than planned on getting it road worthy as is (worn valve stem seals, worn clutch, some sensor issues). It does actually run and drive, just not as well as I'd like.
I even replaced a couple of tyres and the muffler to make it more road worthy.
I think it's a pretty good EV donor, being not too heavy, having a large engine (physically anyway - it's a V6), and decent battery space.
I've always liked the style, but not the Mazda parts cost and reliability issues!
I'm only looking for around $1000 for it, so it's not an expensive donor.
