2015 i3 - Perth

Hi There,

Just ordered my White 2015 i3 REX, its on its on a ship somewhere off West Africa at the moment, Due end of March.

I have mainly been watching the group https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/ for most information but its not really local talk.

Here are my locality related questions:

- Tyres; has anyone got any information regarding this. Whilst I haven't had a flat in a while the last thing I want is a sidewall flat and have to wait months on end because of lack of stock?

- I dont think my model has the confort road package so there is no tpms, is that something easily added if I want to enable it?

- I have ordered my obdii cable and have all the files ready to "code" the car with the settings I prefer, Its more a registry change than coding from what I have seen.
- Increase indicator timeout, disable disclaimer, enable am radio etc

- Do the Aussie models have reduced liters in fuel tank displayed, the US models were missing .5 gallons.

- Perth Weather, its friken hot here and I park at a train station car park, lithium does not like high temperatures, what have people done? I have considered 3M tinting all round to try and reduce in car temperatures during our scorches.

- Any issues installing the home charger?

- Are there many other i3 owners here?

we have one i3 driver in perth too

why are you going with a bmw home charger ? the website says it's only a 3.7kW charger.

oh the must do for perth is to contact these guys and buy a cable and a rfid tag http://therevproject.com/trials/charging-trial.php

Hi Gabz,

You are right I just checked the website, I assumed it was a 7.4kw charger. I will have to look at what others recommend.
