MikeD - E-Max 110S

Post by MikeD »

I recently added a second EV to the vehicle fleet, a Vmoto Emax 110s scooter. They were imported into Australia in 2010 and came with about 100kg of glass mat absorbed lead acid batteries. So were embarrassingly heavy.

Have upgraded the battery pack in mine with 8 Nissan Leaf modules left over from my car www.mr02ev.me giving a total of 65 volts and 3.6kilowatthours. It moves along quite nicely now.

Rought estimate, reduced the weight by 30kg. But at the same time increased the pack voltage from 48v to 65v.

Interesting. I would have thought that the higher voltage made it spin faster. Mine does 70 on 16s LiFePO4.

Pretty sure you are right. Have been meaning to find the setup software and tweak the configuration.
