Dealer suggested that I-PACE might be released in Australia in 3rd quarter of 2018. A similar F-PACE is about $100K and the I-PACE is expected to be 15% to 20% more expensive (then add LCT etc), similar to an entry level Tesla Model X.

Jaguar even have an "electrification" section on their website: https://www.jaguar.com.au/electrification/index.html
Good to see some competition to Tesla finally appearing...
Jaguar i-PACE SUV might arrive 3Q 2018
Re: Jaguar i-PACE SUV might arrive 3Q 2018
It seems the i-PACE uses a Type 2 plug. Does this mean that it would be able to charge at most of the Tesla destination chargers? (Not Tesla superchargers though)

Yep, type 2 means 3-phase destination chargers are good to go.
I read that the LCT will actually be INCREASED! Low emissions vehicles are still subject to some relief, but it would make more sense to just get rid of it.
