First time I have had a debilitating problem with my Blade where it absolutely "ceased to proceed."
It was 38F ... driving a hot black road ... suddenly *chug-chug-chug* ... like an ICE missing, seizing or running out of petrol. It sounded and felt horrible.
Decided to wait and recharge ... I was on 20% ... and 90 minutes later with a full tank, I took off again ... it's even hotter ... but driving fine ... suddenly, same thing.
I deduced it was the heat from the road and the motor underneath ... not a good combination ... apparently, later model Blades had a water cooling system, but not mine ... a 2008 ...
Any other Blade owners have this or a similar problem?
HAS ANYONE HAD THIS BLADE PROBLEM?

Re: HAS ANYONE HAD THIS BLADE PROBLEM?
Possibly overtemp sensors limiting power. Could be controller, motor or BMS. If it does not reoccur in cooler weather - that probably is it. The Blades without cooling do not like really hot weather.
Given the difficulty (read: 'impossibility') of getting into the programming for either the AZD controller or Blade BMS program code - there's no way I know of to read the error codes in an original Blade with these components.
Good luck!
Cheers

Re: HAS ANYONE HAD THIS BLADE PROBLEM?
Thanks, Bryce ... I will let her cool and do a manual reset ... as well as fully recharge ... that seems to help in other instances, like the AUX motor. I was driving with Scott, the Blade electronics wiz, when it happened ... he thought it was heat.Bryce wrote: ↑Thu, 27 Dec 2018, 04:23Possibly overtemp sensors limiting power. I wasn't expecting it to cool down until April.
