Siemens 1PV5135-4WS14

Post by AIT »

I am thinking the 47 kW Siemens 1PV5135-4WS14 AC motor is worth buying from Cape Girardeau, MO, U.S.A. for $1095 (US). However, a significant cost is shipping. Hence are there any other Australians interested in this motor as a multiple shipment would increase viability.

The current exchange rate is about 1.29XX so that's about $1420 +/- plus the shipping costs. I have quotes for shipping costs, but more people buying these AC motors in one shipment is better.

If anyone wants one or more of these such motors, please consider joining a shipping syndicate ?

Yikes. US$1100 plus considerable shipping.

It happens that I have just such a motor in storage:

It was rescued from a University that was going to sell it for scrap metal. I thought I might use it in a conversion, but my time has gone into other directions. It's not new, but in pretty good condition, and these things are pretty well made.

Send me a Private Message with an offer if you are interested in saving a fair chunk of money. It's located in Brisbane, southside.

Hello Coulomb

Yes, I am interested, if motor isn't damaged, worn etc.

I understand Siemens is a good brand.

May I ask how much $ you want to sell it for ?

Are you selling any associated components - Inverter / controller, etc ?

Cheers

No, no controller came with it. As indicated elsewhere, a Tritium Wavesculptor would drive it well, or nearly any AC controller.

Check for a private message.

I'm also interested in this Siemens motor and am trying to buy one from evtv as above. I think the ones they have are maybe wound differently for battery voltage up to about 400v.
I like the look of the coupler on that motor Coulomb.

Hello Coulomb / Bon

I think that motor is worth buying, but freight costs are high, so the most viable manner to buy & freight is to form a syndicate ..... https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/brisban ... 1153931947
