Perth Imiev for sale- anyone know the history?
Hi everyone, I'm in perth - a big EV fan, but a poor EV fan.
I've been researching cheap Evs, gave up on the imiev due to lack of availability and pivoted to looking at importing a cheap leaf,
but still considering saving up for the new MG ZS EV.
But lo! suddenly there's a WA imev thats just popped up on car sales!
Looks like the 2010 version but the ad says "2011", done a lot of kms so clearly well loved, I was wondering if it used to belong to anyone here who could shed some light on it? Or anyone who knew the owner? Any advice would be appreciated.
(I've posted the link below, not sure if links work for me as forum newbie account)

With that odometer reading, I'd say it's the one Joseph Law drove for a long time (handle @g4qber). [ Edit: it was not; see below. ]broombroom wrote: ↑Fri, 04 Dec 2020, 10:35 done a lot of kms so clearly well loved, I was wondering if it used to belong to anyone here who could shed some light on it? What an introduction!!

Have you considered 2nd hand 2019 Leaf (not imports). There's one for sale in the facebook Nissan Leaf Australia page for 36k, only done 6kkm.
It's definitely the best bargain to date I reckon.
If I haven't spent money to replace my battery, I would definitely snap that one up.

It might be my old car, we traded in a white MY2010 IMIEV two weeks ago when we bought our KONA from OSBORNE PARK Hyundai. I was told that the Dealership would hand it over to pickels auction.
If It is my old car, The Traction battery was replaced 5 years ago. My wife drove it to work every day = 62km there + 62km back every day, and it would be charged at home and at work every day, so there is a lot of km there. It was still getting around 80km of range per charge. Running the camion app on the battery showed the cells look good, but It was getting an occasional triangle ! warning on dash, and MUT III said a cell was out of balance with the others but that did not show up on camion. Because this was intermittent, it could be a loose connection of a cell monitor board, and not a fault cell.

Re: Perth Imiev for sale- anyone know the history?
thanks everyone for the EV detective work!
@Rusdy i did see that leaf, very interesting, AU stock would mean a warranty compared to an import. But I think its on the other side of the country from me.
@larrymudd2 I wonder if it is yours! there's hardly any in WA, its a 2010 model, and it just appeared for sale. The Kona is the dream though, would be amazing to have that kind of range!
If it is yours Larry, did it ever have any trouble with the onboard charger?

Re: Perth Imiev for sale- anyone know the history?
yes, i think it is my old car, because the odo reading was 167010 when i took a photo three weeks ago, and it looks like this one for sale has odo reading of around 169000. I never had a problem with the onboard charger, and it has a brand new 12v battery in it. Having a weak or dead 12v battery is one of the causes of the IMIEV Onboard charger to blow up, but this car alway had 12v batteries kept in good condition. Everything in the car was in good condition, with the exception of the occasional triangle ! warning dash light that related to a cell being in abnormal voltage range. because the fault was intermittent, i think the cell was probably good, but the cell monitor board probably had a loose connection. or it might be a loose connection on the BMU. This never affected the charging or the driving range. Also, all of the recalls, like the airbag, brake vaccuum pump and 12v battery holder have all been fixed by the dealership.
