Takata airbag recall

Is anyone aware of the situation regarding Takata airbag recalls in respect of grey imports ?

MMAL has stated on their website that they are responsible for grey imports but the company clearly doesn't have a clue about VIN numbers

I want to get this sorted as I will be selling the Minicab to make way for the MGeZS

Any comments will be appreciated.
