Hi all

A quick update on our 2010 Imiev.

It is now into it's sixth month at Paceway.

The battery has been tested to death but still shows O.K.

The charger has been replaced. No difference. It still stops when they test drive it.

The last effort as directed by the Brisbane office was to drive around doing a live video of the dash along with commentary until it stopped.

Luckily it didn't take long.

The Brisbane office admits there is a fault but have no explanation. The video has been sent to Japan for advice.

At least it's still all being done under warranty.

To give them credit we have had a loan car for most of the duration and I'm getting used to the petrol ripoff again

When the car stops, has anyone been able to check the cell voltages, whilst the car fails to proceed?

I wonder if the issue is actually the motor controller, rather than the battery or charger?

Mathew

I suspect that is the problem (partly because nearly everything else has been checked or replaced).

When they asked me what I thought the problem was, the MCU was my choice as well (following from similar problems discussed on this forum). That suggestion seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
