First go on the UWA charger

Tried the new UWA fast charger tonight thanks to Joseph & Patrick.

Joseph showed up not long after me & we had a chat about it all.

The station itself looks great & is very user friendly with the "Swipe Pay" style card scan.

80% charge took 30 minutes as stated.

The last 16% about 37 minutes.

A few improvements:

The cables switched so that the CHAdeMO is on the right hand side & the Combo 1 on the left.

This will match up the Imiev & I3 charging outlets as the display/control is good on the north side.

Maybe 2 integral street lamps or spot lights to light up your cars outlet at night.

Maybe they could turn on at the end of the charge for say 5 minutes or a sensor light.

A bollard to protect it.

Overall, great setup.

For the extra 1 meter or so of cable, would have been good if it was centered over 2 bays though...

no but it may piss off the CEO or the 2IC haveing to walk an extra few steps to go inside

but watch what will happen if the CEO and or the 2IC get EV's

I guess it can only charge one car at a time also?...

So defeats the need for the extra bay

Do you have to pay for parking if before 5pm ?

Is it an EV reserved parking bay with 30 minutes max time (or perhaps 67 minutes) Kinda useless if not !
I cant see any signage ?

Bollards are now in....

No need to pay for charging at this stage. There is a small placard on the Veefil to indicate this.

30 min max but i have been there for a bit longer sometimes when doing the slow charge.

Bay will be painted green and marked EV only soon.

Grand opening by the Transport Minister scheduled for next week.

Best not deliberately mislead the public and transport minister then about FC
You know that means unfortunately park non FC EVs out of sight

EV honesty and all that.

the one at Sydney sort of looks like a bus stop, undercover seat etc.. no cappuccino machine through. Gloria jeans is across the road from memory

Veefil is back up and running today. It had a small hardware failure which has been resolved.

Oh man what a work of art inside. Slackjawed for a bit....

A big section of the inside of the Veefil is taken up by one of their Wavesculpter inverters. Makes sense really.

47 orders for BMW i3 in Brisbane. no stock there yet. Brisbane BMW has a Veefil installed but running @ 20Kw due to not enough power on site.

Got some interesting info from the chap at Tritium. Future product road map should keep them busy indeed.
