Hi i have a really quick question for the brains trust.
Does the PHEV APP work on all PHEV models. I am looking at a 2014 PHEV not aspire but has the full satnav etc..
They owner is the original but had never heard of it.
Thanks Mick

Re: PHEV Smartphone APP apllicability.
I think it only works on the Aspire, but others may know better.
What I can say is that IMHO it is barely worth having. I am generally very keen on apps but I was disappointed with the PHEV app, both with the limited functionality and its clumsy user interface. Because it works over WiFi, it often hogs the phone's WiFi and can stop the phone accessing the internet (Android phones anyway). The actual functionality available via the App is also very limited. I think I've used it once to pre-warm the car, but even that is clunky, you can't just log in and get it to warm the car up for the next 15 minutes, you have to "schedule" it, putting in start and end day(s) and times and then start the scheduler, far too clumsy IMHO. Oh, and IIRC, you have to remember to stop the scheduler afterwards so it doesn't heat the car at the same time on your chosen day thereafter.
I have occasionally used it to check on charge progress but it is so slow to connect if you're not already in the car and the range is so limited that it's quicker and easier to open the door and look at the dashboard.
I love the Outlander PHEV, the App is one of its few weaknesses.

Correct - it only works on the Aspire.
