Hi,

could all Nissan LEAF owners please take their cars to a dealer to have their strut towers inspected before your warranty expires. I am being charged $300 for labour (not done it yet), Nissan are paying for parts as my warranty has expired.

Best to get it fixed for free.

Image Ouch! How bad was the rust? We checked my dad's Leaf and it was very minor. We fixed it with some grease and a peanut butter lid to keep further water from collecting.

Where do I check this? Under the bonnet or under the car? Did Nissan give you any trouble about having it replaced, and is the replacement just the same design so will happen again in coming years?
Great heads up if this is affecting many owners and Nissan has not proactively addressed it at the regular service interval.
